Naive and shallow ... such a pity. Most of the previous dramas by this writer are among my favourite Korean dramas ever--Lovers, Secret Garden, City Hall ...
No drama has ever kept me in suspense till the end to such an extent! I've got 30 minutes left of episode 16 and still not sure how it's gonna end ... :-)
A breath of fresh air! Reminded me of Jane Austen's Emma, though the roles are a bit reversed! Best drama I've seen in quite a while! Witty, funny, touching and deep! Deserves 10 out of 10!

shaz22, it's not just about "beauty" I personally appreciate the "philosophy"/the outlook behind some Asian dramas and movies, especially Japanese I must say ... "the food for thought" they feed us ... the lack of cynicism and vulgarity that I really got sick and tired of in Western, esp. American productions ...

Exactly, coz you grew up/live in a multicultural environment :-) i live in a country where there isn't any racial diversity ......i mean maybe in recent years we do have immigrants from Asia and Africa but on the whole we've been quite isolated :-) the funny thing is that our ancestors actually came from Asia and had Asian looks ..... ironic isn't it! :-)

Well, I'm European and we kind of grow up with the image of Asian being not so pretty, deviating from the "beauty standard" :-) it's weird but i guess you have to get to know something in order to like it :-) i realize now that racism is pure ignorance :-)
As a matter of fact, Wild Romance is probably my FAVORITE drama this year! I loved the characters (and yes, the best friend and manager couple were at times even more intriguing and funnier than the leads), the acting, the plot, the chemistry between the actors, the strange kind of humor, the suspense (although there were some awkward moments in the storyline that the writer could probably have crafted better).
The only thing that put me off the drama at first was the poster which was pretty ugly and Lee Dong Wook with mustache and beard (thank God he got that shaven through the middle of the drama) pretty hideous sight to watch :-) (but i don't like men with a lot of facial hair anyway) :-)
... and Lee Dong Wook was much better as an actor than his previous dramas that's for sure!
I would strongly recommend this drama to everybody! :-)
