Had to drop it sadly. I just find Bawoo way too unlikeable. This is not necessarily a critique of the show, I think it's fine to have flawed characters, I just personally don't like his character and thus am not interested in continuing the show when I just don't feel like the story will go in a direction I like with a resolution that will satisfy me.
The action scenes feel very unrealistic and exaggerated, but I love them. For me, if you mange to make fun, exciting and cool to watch fight scenes that don't feel cringy or fake, I can overlook the fact that they are unrealistic. I personally had a lot of fun with them and found them cool and exciting so 🤷🏻‍♀️
Shao Xue is just way too much. It's not over the top in an endering, funny nor enjoyable way, it's simply way too annoying. I skip almost every scene she is because I genuinely can't stand her at all.
on episode 25 rn and I just can't stand Mi Gu at all.
1. From the beginning she was a terrible friend, she kept reaching out to Zhuo Ran, knowing his past with Xia Chu. Even before Xia Chu told her it was fine, she kept meeting with him and even lied to her, telling her it was just a coincidence or just for work. If Mi Gu and Zhou Ran had actually formed a real connection and spent time together before she found out who he was I would've been more lenient, more understanding, but they didn't. She had never even talked to the man if not a brief conversation about the luggage.
2. She's a doormat. That man has never shown her any interest whatsoever and it is evident that he still loves Xia Chu and yet she keeps running to him like a lost puppy. Again, if they had met before he reunited with Xia Chu and she fell for him during that time, only for him yo change when meeting Xia Chu again, that would be different. But no.
3. She's an idiot. I'm sorry but I would've either cut him off or gone to the police after he put that gun in my bag. That's such a dangerous situation that shows two things a) He doesn't care about you and is willing to use you as a scapegoat b) He's dangerous and is very obviously up to illegal activities.
personally I feel like maybe this is just not your genre. there isn't a set "plot", it's about the life…
I personally think this is more slice-of-life drama with obviously some romance aspects and plot lines, while the others you mentioned aren't really that. I feel like maybe "My Liveration Notes" could be similar (but I found it boring so I can't be sure as I didn't watch much of it). In my opinion Weightlifting Fairy is a comedy coming of age romance show and Hidden Love is very much romance; etc. In any case I obviously think it's perfectly fine for you to not like it or find it boring, we all have our personal taste, I was just curious
One of the best rated dramas on MDL... and I had to drop it. Was a huge bore festival, neither the acting nor…
personally I feel like maybe this is just not your genre. there isn't a set "plot", it's about the life and struggles of the characters and a ton happens every single episode, so personally I don't think it was boring (even if there were some storylines I wasn't much interested in). May I ask if there are any shows in this genre that you have enoyed and found compelling and not boring?
I don't understand why people are saying tha Junseo decided to stop her only once she got married because he couldn't accept someone else having her when he couldn't. Like? Are we watching the same show? When she got married he stepped back, he let her get married and tried to move on. When Jaeo told him that he thought something was wrong he didn't even want to intervene because he thought it was just another one of her plans and he didn't want to disrupt her life now that she was living comfortably. The reason he exposed her is exactly how he explained it. The whole time he helped and enabled her because he thought she could change, because he thought once she was happy she would stop and they could be happy together. But after seeing how she used Jaeo for her goal, he realised nothing would ever change. Jaeo was the guy they'd knows half their lives, he became his friend, he literally let him meet her again because he said she seemed more free with him, she smiled differently. But she was willing to sacrifice him too. So while he's not innocent (and he knows it), while he does want her to be with him, he didn't do all that just because she got married with someone else.
You need to watch this elsewhere ... its a lot better.... do you understand chinese?
I already finished it lmao I have other places where I can watch cdramas but youtube is just so convenient, so when I can I use it even if i know it's not the best option as there are often issues with the audio
I'm watching this on yt and I'm guessing the issue is only there but the audio mixing is absolutely terrible. the music is just way to loud so when they talk you can barely hear them but you can't even turn the volume up because of said music.
I did not watch this, not interested but I have seen this FL actress in one or two other dramas and she is not…
I personally haven't seen her in anything elese so I don't really know how to feel about her because it could be that she was simply given a bad character to interpret, however I felt towards her the same way I felt towards Song Hyekyo: I don't think she's completly unwatchable and I could enjoy a show even if she's the FL however she makes me feel nothing, I don't get anything from her and because of that I feel distant from the character and I don't enjoy it thus making me enjoy the show overall a lot less. For example I enjoyed Encounter well enough even though I didn't really care for the FL.
This was recommended to us 2 yrs ago when we started watching the dramas but we dropped it. IMO it is awful and…
I always saw people praising this show, talking about how great it was. Sure, I saw some people say that after the halfway point it got worse, but they still stated that it was great and worth the watch. I disagree, the first half was fine but the second half just ruined the whole thing for me and I wouldn’t recommend it.
Reading your review made me laugh just from the memories of enraged I was when I watched it 3 years ago. Gosh…
I mentioned too that maybe there was a big cultural diffrence and that's why i couldn’t fully immerse myself in the story, but here's the thing: regardless of everybodys own cultural values we also all have own personal values so if my own mother slapped, belittled and humiliated the people that i love I simply couldn’t stand for it because I personally, not my country, but I, believe that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect regardless of their social status and I couldn’t just let my mother treated two of the most important people in my life like that. i know that at the beginning she didn’t know the full extent of it, but she still knew bits and pieces and later on learned everything. Even her brother had more dignity and pride and tried to talk some sense into their mum. Untill the end I was just waiting for her to finally tell her mum how awful of a mother she was instead they ended up hugging making it seem like "we have diffrent opinions and don't agree with each other but we are still family" no. Oh hell no. And again, I don't think it has to do with cultural diffrences because western media does this too, they always act as if you have to always love and forgive your blood related family because they are family, even if they mistreated you, abndoned or neglected you, even if they were toxic or even abusive and that's something that I personally, me not my country values, cannot get behind at all. In general she didn’t show him the amont of love that he showed her, she talked the talk but didn’t walk the walk. He would always defend and protect her frim anything, wether it was by physically fighting someone for her, verbally defending her or enduring her mother abuse without complaining. She couldn’t do the same, she couldn’t defend him from the pain that his fatger brought him, she couldn’t defend him from her mother abuse or from anything else really and she somehow always managed to bring more pain to him instead of alleviating it and then always acted as if she was the only victing. Before staring the show i had cheked if it had an happy ending with the main couple ending together and i was so happy to realize that that was the case now i don't even know if I'm happy about that because he deserves so much better (and this is coming from someone who usually is always if the main couple ends up together even if they are toxic for each other).
