Song Han is the copy of Song Yichun. As an incompetent and evil father, he raised Song Han to be like him, unlike Song Mo who was raised by Duke Ding and his mother. Song Han has been hiding something and pretending to be a good son/brother bcos he wanted to stay as "the second master of Duke Ying".

If you pay attention to him, there is cruelty in his eyes and that he isn't innocent as he looks. Tbh during the first week of airing, some people even thought the arrow man on ep 1 was Song Han. It was easy to guess he will be the villain bcos in ep 1 it was stated Song Mo killed him. Why? Obviously bcos Song Han is evil.

Fact is, on the novel, Song Han did the a LOT of terrible things until the end. He is worse than his father. At least in the drama he has some feelings towards Ansu. On the novel? Ansu is worse than a maid in his eyes.

The Song Mo in the first lifetime is Song Mo was a revenge driven person. He was full of hatred, lonely, lost, and full of regrets. No one was by his side (subordinates don't count) whom he could share his burdens and thoughts. Just like Dou Zhao, he died with regrets.

In their second meeting, Song Mo became more amazed by her beauty and kept staring at her 😆 When his mother mentioned Dou Zhao, he unconsciously said "She is engaged" hinting that he was disappointed and secretly having a crush on her.

You don't understand why she doesn't want to marry. She endured hardships due to her marriage with Wei Tingyu. They didn't love e/o, and she had to handle all his affairs until she suffered miscarriage, fell ill and eventually found out her husband cheated on her with her step sister. Her failed marriage and her mother's suicide became traumatizing to her. She told her father she doesn't want to marry, moreover, to the wrong man. In the novel, she rejected Song Mo twice. Truth is, Dou Zhao has been trying to avoid meeting Song Mo bcos she doesn't want to get involved with Song Mo and his family feud, moreover the possibility that he will rebel later. She just wants to live in peace.

You need to understand from her pov, not just from his pov. Marriage is not as easy as sunbathing, esp to Song Mo, a man who is surrounded by problems.

When someone calls him by his birth name, it is considered rude and show they are not close. Like you said, Dou Zhao called Song Mo by his name bcos they were not in that kind of relationship. Dong Qi also called Song Mo by his name bcos they are not friends. Other examples: Dou Shishu (fifth uncle) and even his own father due to his hatred.

Meanwhile, the emperor and father in law call him Yantang.

Based on this you can see whether they are close or not.

No, he was acting as the good son/brother. If you watch it clearly, it is obvious that he is hiding something and there is cruelty in his eyes. Ansu fell for him bcos she never met a man who doesn't look down on her status. If you think Song Han is a good person, that means the actor did a good job 😅 The casting director deliberately chose an actor that is contrast with LYR to highlight it.

Although they are in love doesn't mean they have to consummate on the first night. They need time. Song Mo respects Dou Zhao and willing to wait until she's ready. Even on the novel, on the first night, he gave her chicken blood and they slept on the same bed. Everyone thought they consummated. it took about a week until he got the courage to "attack" her and she accepted him.

The mysterious sage wrote the book. Only Dou Zhao can see him. But later her daughter can see him as well.

Song Han is one of the villains in the novel. Tbf he is the exact copy of Song Yichun: can only bark, but lacks the brain and ability. He and Song Yichun can't defeat Song Mo, so they join forces with Prince Qing.
