When GYJ was casted for this drama she was only 4 years into her career and KSH was already 13 years to his career. I’m not sure where this argument is going but like I said he had less screen time than her. must mean something, and as someone pointed out, she had more buzz than top billed, that’s really shameful, usually top billed get more buzz.
2ndly, GYJ getting an invitation to dine with the elite in Paris is also a sign of her global popularity, in Korea her face is everywhere from multiple brands just like IU, I don’t recall even seeing KSH face in any where when I visited. (if he had brand value he’d have many brand endorsements like them).
3rdly, Korean celebs do fanmeets all the time, it’s nothing special, it’s who’s schedule isn’t packed and looking for quick peanuts. IU and GYJ make money even when they sleep & both have packed schedules with brands shoots, film projects, album releases etc.
When KSH gets invited by the brands to fashion weeks etc, please let me know how known he is, last I recalled, brands only invite people who actually are SOMETHING.

I was in Korea a few months ago and I started seeing GYJ face just my girl IU face starting from the airport, her face was in many billboards and stores.
Also everytime IU is on the list for brand reputation so is GYJ, both are always on the list.
Definition of bankable = Brand Value: They maintain a powerful personal brand that translates to high commercial appeal—— Translation (Her face secures investors and brand recognition/Value).
Consistency and Versatility: While talent is crucial, bankable stars often consistently deliver quality performances across various genres. (GYJ has been known to star in various high budget movies since her debut starting with sweet home, from horror, superhero to fantasy, thriller and slice of life, she’s done it all, not just romcoms like KSH).
If KSH was that bankable they would not have hidden his appearance as cameo for WLGYT, they did that because he simply wasn’t needed to make the drama a success.

I’m not very familiar with what luxury brands he’s an ambassador to, I watched the drama and I saw Chanel heavily sponsored the drama, which Go Youn Jung is their brand ambassador and I saw clips of her attending their fashion shows even recently. so it seems her brand ambassader was heavily involved. What brands of kim Seon Ho sponsored the drama? or what investors did he attract towards the drama? looking at his upcoming drama with Suzy and the other one he’s not first billed, and that may be because Suzy is senior to him, she started acting in the industry as main lead while he was still doing supporting roles, just like she was main lead in start up when he was supporting cast. perhaps as someone pointed below, He was only top billed because GO was a rookie, which makes sense.
This comment section is giving me flashbacks, I remember when IU was casted for my mister, there were so many doubters who preyed upon it with hateful statements, then the drama aired and ended up winning so many awards including best drama in Baeksang arts awards, it also earned IU a Baeksang nomination in best actress category, all I have to say to Go Youn Jung is keep doing what you’re doing, you have done well, your acting range is beautiful to watch, I watched her in can this love be translated and I was amazed at how she was able to portray dual characters very differently. Park hae young girls will always deliver because she has a good eye for amazing actresses.

Funny how GYJ had more screen time playing 2 characters than the first billed, I wonder how this first billed thing works, because shouldn’t it be the one with the most screen time that should be first billed! after my mister and my liberation notes, I’ve come to like this writer, Go youn Jung is now joining IU and Kim Ji Won as park hae young female leads. she’s earned her spot in the industry to work with prestigious writers, good for her.
The main couple is the biggest issue. Their relationship is just constant back and forth, with no emotional logic…
Opinions really do differ, I loved this, I’ve recommended to 3 people already and 2 loved it and the other said it was okay for them. This is one of this kdramas that isn’t for everyone really, if complex characters aren’t your thing then it is what is it. I added this to my rewatch list and will continue recommending to anyone who’s on the edge to give the first episode a watch and see if it works for them.
i would drop this in the middle if not for Kim Seon-Ho he is amazing in this
Quit the opposite for me, I found his character bland and boring and one dimensional, Go Youn Jung made this show intriguing with her dual personality.

I was just like you, I also visited this page the day the drama released and it was filled with negative comments from some randoms who claimed to finish the drama barely 24 hours, I was not going to be discouraged and decided to check it out myself and I absolutely had a blast, I still rewatch some of my favorite scenes and Go Youn Jung was an absolute delight on my screen. it seems like there’s a pattern in MDL where some people just hate on popular dramas for whatever reason, I have a feeling it will be the same randoms badmouthing perfect crown when it releases because that’s going to be another popular show.
What a pleasant surprise, I finally finished this and WOW!!! 🤩 Thank goodness this didn’t dissapoint me, their chemistry was so special and I loved the alter ego or should I say Zombie 😂 Go youn Jung has delivered again, such a baddie with talent too.. Hiro also grew on me but I was still team Hojin. what a pleasant surprise for this drama. 🫶🫶
