Agree. For me I enjoy the drama but I expected it to be better. As you said, so much unnecessary scenes. Definitely was overrated. It's not a terrible drama but not the best either

I think their emotions in their voice is lacking. That might be because of the dub (though they dubbed themselves, it's hard to feel the same emotions than when they were onset)

As someone who's almost done watching, I think the drama appeals to certain people. It really depends on your taste and what you can handle. For me it's not bad at all. It's a good drama with great chemistry. I don't mind the slowburn relationship. However in general the pacing is slow and repetitive. It would be much better if they stuck to 24 to 28 episodes. I say try it out first (watch until after Episode 10 at least because the early episodes are pretty bad but gets better later) then decided if it's your taste or not.

Completely agree. I was looking forward to this drama a lot but was disappointed in the end. Feel bad for Zhao Yiqin. I thought his role here would be complex and show more of his acting skills. But as you said, it was the second male lead who got the more interesting character.

I know! There's so many cliche plots wrapped into it but it's very enjoyable still. Other dramas who use cliche tropes like this should learn!

I love the drama now. It's really entertaining and fun! The episodes are so much better than the beginning parts.

The plot twist that Ye Sangyu is alive isn't all surprising. In Episode 16 her voice is heard when she texted Cui Zhen Yan. Plus I think you also see her future self in the drama's MV. This should have been a 12-episode drama or similar to that. There's so much unnecessary parts they added in.

Finalized my review. You can check it out to see my conclusion on the drama. Honestly I'm disappointed. It's a draggy drama for me. I didn't watch until the end but I do know the plot twist of it all. It isn't that amazing either.

It's confirmed that Shen Yue and Connor will be in this. Another project for the both of them? I'm in! Loved them in Another Me.

Slightly edited my review as I have now watched almost 10 episodes. If you're wondering if you should check the drama out or continue it, I hope my review can help you out. Actually I suggest waiting for more episodes to come out then binge/start watching. The schedule makes it tough to be patient for episodes.

it's definitely not the actor's fault, it's the post production crew to blame. if you're tired of it, you can pause watching for a while and wait for more episodes to come out to binge.

agree! i have no problems with the actors but the dubbing quality is a shame. the episodes do get better though

at first the dubbing bothered me because the quality of dubbing in Shen Yue's other dramas are better. but i actually got used to it already, it's not a big deal anymore for me.

The actors (or at least Shen Yue and Jerry Yan, the leads) dubbed their own voices. I recognized them. The videos on Youtube is the "dubbed" version. The reason why Chinese dramas are often dubbed is because China has many dialects and accents, so they want to keep the language and voice acting consistent. For Count Your Lucky Stars, I don't know why they still had to dub their own voices. Maybe for "better quality" audio? But the audio quality is not that good.
