I just hope that it got resolved fast when the anger & misunderstandings about FL not coming to ML’s dad…
In the novel, it wasn't even in the plot, so I think it will either get resolved quickly by finding a survivor of her soldiers or he will find the traitor(s) that sold intel to the enemy, in which case it may take a little longer

If I remember well, it was Cheng Lisu, so they had to pick a different actor and reshoot all the scenes he was in. That's why it took so long to get released and I read somewhere that the episodes are only 35 min because there wasn't enough time to reshoot all the scenes he was in again so they removed a lot of them as he was supposed to have many scenes in the first four episodes

ok, someone please explain to me: why did her father force her to be a boy (pretend to be her brother), yet somehow…
As a novel reader, it was explained a little better in the novel. Originally, she had to pretend to be her brother because it was the only way for her family to remain among the noble families. At first, He Rufei wasn't supposed to survive so they needed an heir, and they chose her to take her brother's place to have one. She wasn't supposed to be in the military either, in the novel she did it to run away from a marriage as she didn't want to run the life of another woman by being married to her as a woman herself, so she wasn't supposed to become a general at first. As for her brother, her family trained him behind her back so he would fight with the same moves, know military tactics, have the same writing and everything to take the name of He Rufei back from her. I hope it helped you understand a little better. ( sorry english isn't my first language, so you might not understand some of the things that I wrote.)
