It's hinted at the end that MengMeng started the loop somehow (the mom saw MM's figure looking satisfied as she's…
Mengmeng did appear near the end looking satisfied. But that could mean many things. It could be that she’s happy because the reason why she went off the bus was finally uncovered. It was not a sufficient indicator that she started the reset.
Besides, the whole show was about the reset. That is even the title of the show. So, it needs to be well covered and discussed. A mere hint won’t be enough. The reset was like a topic sentence of a paragraph. It needs to be explored thoroughly.
Another thing was this: the ability to cause a reset is not an innate ability of crime victims. So, how was Mengmeng able to do that? It would have been nice if this wasn’t left to speculation because it’s the main theme of the show. If it weren’t, then maybe you could hand wave it a bit.
For these reasons I found the show a bit lacking. It’s like you started talking about one thing, then got lost and talked about other things.
Just finished watching, but it wasn't explained why it kept on resetting. Why were there resets? Who or what caused the resets? Can someone please explain.
This drama is amazing, beautiful, and one of the best I’ve seen . The plot is solid, it’s well-written, layered and well-thought-out (there’s foreshadowing), the acting is top-notch, the costumes beautiful, and how they incorporated food into the plot is brilliant. MOST OF ALL, the Romance unfolds so beautifully, with a swoon-worthy OTP that is couple goals. I almost didn’t watch it because of the low rating and negative comments, but I’m glad I trusted my instincts and went ahead and watched it. I’ll do a full review later. I don’t normally do reviews but I’ll make an exception for this one because it deserves all the praises it can get.
