I can't help but still gush about this series. It's not that often that I find a drama in these shorts that I could say it's a fine or lovely series. Don't get me wrong. I'm into vertical dramas these days. I enjoy them. Yet this series somehow touched me. A fine compelling story of deep young but mature love. Great casting. ML new to me but he was so right for the role. Well played out character. Actress, well no doubt about Ms Peng Yao. I've seen a lot of her dramas and we know she's good in every character she plays. Yet ML somehow added much depth to the story in his natural style of acting.
Plot line common, plot holes typical of vertical dramas are present, yet these two made this story just for them. They made me forget for a while that I'm just watching a vertical. They made me remember what young love is all about. This story isn't just about pure, deep, young love, but about how a young couple is willing to go great lengths for each other, through thick and thin. I love how FL made ML come out of his deep insecurities and made him become a better version of himself. I love how ML truly loves his girl, that he's willing to bet every inner doubts and insecurities for his girl.. to be that guy worthy of her.
A lovely heartwarming story of second chances, of a young love overcoming obstacles not just from outside influences, but from their inner selves. A well executed mini series.
