Both female leads take on false identities to get to where they are. Both struggle to find a standing on their own in the harsh world, so they start to realize that the only way to survive and get ahead is to lie. Slowly, the lies that they started to survive keep multiplying because the pressure to not get caught and stay ahead only grows through time. While their greed for the finer things in life changes.
