A Legal Mystery That Keeps You Thinking

Law School (2021) was overall very well done. The storyline was intriguing and often encouraged critical thinking on the part of the viewer, which I really enjoyed. The build-up of the mystery, coupled with the character development, made the drama very engaging. For a 16-episode show, the pacing was surprisingly good, I didn’t feel bored at any point, which is rare.

Professor Yang (Yoon) was easily the star of the cast. He wasn’t the most likable character, but he always kept you guessing. His wit and unapologetic stance made him such a fun character to watch. Han Joon-Hwi was also a solid character; he stayed consistent in his motivations and had a laid-back charm that balanced the intensity of the show. Kang Sol A was funny and relatable, while Ye-Seul was an absolute sweetheart who had to endure so much. Kang Sol B was a bit mean, but somehow you still end up feeling for her by the end.

Although there weren’t many huge twists in the mystery itself, it was still really satisfying to piece together all the clues as the story unfolded. Overall, this drama was smart, entertaining, and kept me invested from start to finish.
