After reading your comments I rewatched The earlier episodes so many times. The writing is so clever, so subtle on important points, so much conveyed through silent scenes.
I’m so excited! The episode two end twist got me into the series like crazy. Another twist will make me lifelong rewatcher!

First time I’ve been obsessed with a kdrama! Cannot wait for the end.

After many many rewatches, I’m so on board with the time travel theory proposed by @CDramaAddict. ( my husband thinks I’ve gone insane) Sun Jae time traveled to the past first to save Sol’s before. Supporting facts and timelines:
1) There are three scenes where Sol is shown to be drowning in the first 8 episodes: first at the beginning of episode 4, second at the end of episode 4 and third at the beginning of episode 7. That’s too many repeats if it is showing the same thing. The series doesn’t have redundant scenes.

2)How these three instances differ: A. The watch is glowing in the first two but not in the last one. Implying the wearer Sun Jae is time travelling in the first two instances but not in the third one. B. In the scene in 7th episode, the time and date are clearly shown to highlight the time of Sol’s death before Sun Jae intervened. Sep 1, 2008 Midnight. Sun Jar is crying bitterly with no Sol shown. C. In the 4th episode beginning and ending scene, Sun Jae’s outfits are different while Sol’s words are the same. He is wearing a shirt in the beginning scene, a tracksuit in the ending one. I think this means Sun Jae traveled atleast twice, first to save her life, second time to save her from becoming disabled.

3) The post concert scene where Sun Jae comes across Sol on the Bridge, first in Episode 1 and once again in episode 4 are subtly different. In Episode 1 Sun Jae points to her headband and tells her it would seem so when Sol tells him she is his fan. In Epsiode 4, he just says thank you. Again, I don’t see why there should be any difference if they are the same timeline. The episode one is the final timeline we are following Sol from.

I am not sure if Sun Jae is destined to die in the OG timeline too. I’d guess not as the Taxi Driver would be in jail for killing Sol. I’d like if they did attribute one of his deaths to depression.

If Sun Jae has been time travelling too, maybe he is capable of recalling everything. He did see twice memories, one of Sol dying from episode 7, and one of visiting her place from episode 4. Both were from before Sol travelled back.

Firstly, supercool theory. It made me rewatch the starting episodes repeatedly!

I think the end of episode 4 is the timeline Sol remembers: SJ’s final time travel where he manages to save Sol but she forgets him. The starting of episode 4 is maybe his second attempt? He might have one left.

In the OG timeline, Sol seems to slows down when she sees SJ, like she knows him. Makes me think they liked each other in this timeline. Sol forgetting him was the price he paid to keep her alive. Just like Sol did.

This is canon to me now. Irrespective of how the writer ends it! Fans write more creative endings than writers too often!

Right, upon a rewatch it makes so much sense. Me too Sol, me too.

I do like this theory. It would really tie in things so well. But what gives him the power to travel in future (which year does he travel from?) if Sol dies in 2008. It would make sense if he traveled from 2024 or beyond. But why would he suddenly get this power years after Sol’s death. Or he just accidentally discovers It only years later.

This does make sense. I rewatched and he does look heartbroken. The focus son the time is weird too.

Under the Queens Umbrella is rated 9.1 . I didn’t think it was all that. QOT is 8.8/9 and it was awful IMO. I hate the plot of Hidden Love which is rated over 9. People like different things.

This is a really well done drama that has stayed relatively interesting throughout. But it is a romcom and the plot can only get so complicated in this genre.

Watch something else if you don’t like this one. You seem to be trolling people who’ve been loving the show for weeks now.

I got so bored with QOT. I usually like Kim Soo Hyun but even he was lack lustre here. They kept telling us how epic their love is but I didn’t feel it.

I hope it’s the leads and we’re getting some plot points rather than fluff of their kids. With two episodes, I’d like to see their kids only in some passing photos likes in QOT.

Question for people in Korea. How much is the craze for BWS in Korea? Does that happen after every popular drama? I’ve been reading he is getting a lot of popularity suddenly.

Yeah I agree fully. The twist we could all see coming from a mile off should’ve come sober in episode 13. It didn’t need to come with that whole actor thing . It could’ve been much better if they had just met because of in hyuk and Ra sung connection or just being in the movie business together. Give more scenes of the leads together. Now the ending is for sure going to be rushed and unsatisfactory.
