I loved the drama, but i have some confusion and questions. please help me clear my confusion by answering them.

1. In episode 1, 2026, present time, we saw TYX writing letters and sending them through the mailbox. and he said hes waiting for a letter as well. But how did TYX in 2026 know that the mailbox connects two timelines? Like if he sends that letter, Ye haitang might receive it in 1991? Because during the scene where he sends the letters the whole letter sending and recieving thing didnt happen. im so confused it just doesn't click in my head!

2. How did the magical cat appear in Yu Nian's place in episode 12? what is the theory behind it?
