I’m really not trying to do that at all, just pointing out things I’ve noticed and I was wondering if other people agreed. But, you are most definitely allowed to disagree.

Ahhh its great to see fellow Mr. Sunshine fans 😄 I was sad that it didnt receive much international recognition but, still a great drama regardless.

This isnt directly related to the topic but one of the things i loved from Mr. Sunshine was that they didnt kiss at all. So the fact that they were able to have a heart wrenching romance through hugs and all that, i think is amazing. It definitely tells a lot about both of their acting skills

I saw an article where a lot of comments pointed out the fact that her acting received a lot (i think) of backlash from the first two episodes. What got me pissed was that someone said she needed time to settle in to her role 😐 No maam a pro has no need to do that. Even NJH’s first impression of her was “wow, heedo!” So yeah

True, people just have different preferences 😪

Tbh im not the best on assessing chemistry but on the technical aspect, i just think KTR’s acting sometimes outshines NJH’s. And this may affect how the two look together on screen (well it does for me at least)
But you know what, there are definitely times when I’m very happy with the way NJH acted a scene, and dont get me wrong i still squeal at the cute moments. You’re right, his acting altogether isnt underwhelming BUT there were moments when i had to rely on context to figure out what exactly BYJ was feeling. Rooftop scene esp. when he first saw her again after a few months. His face stayed the same… disappointing. BUT I DONT HATE HIS ACTING I SWEAR

i JUST found out that korean fans were giving KTR some flak for her acting being over the top in the first and second episodes????? Excuse meeee????? Her acting is what made me fall in love with this dramaaaaaa!!!!
Sorry if i get too emotional BUT i think KTR is the best actor out of all the cast. Her acting isn’t too much, its giving and adding more details to the plot to enhance it, and if not for her, the story line would be dull, making the drama boring to watch. I can tell she understands her character super well bc i totally think the little details she adds are very natural and doesn’t make me think “why is she doing that.” In short, i absolutely lover her acting and no amount of praise will take away the fact that shes still an underrated actress 😌

And i also just learned that NJH is getting A LOT of praise for his acting. What. I watched 2521 with low expectations for NJH’s acting so i was actually surprised when i saw he wasnt doing bad at all. But thats it. I think he’s great at acting out the type of guy thats always smiling and not taking anything too seriously and thats why i think he did very well in weightlifting fairy. But to everyone who says BYJ is the best role for him, uhm, i have to HEAVILY disagree with you on that. (Here comes the rant) Whenever BYJ is serious, NJH makes only one face. And while you can still understand BYJ’s feelings because of the context, the acting is just disappointing. I think he can do SO much better. It makes me think that he may not understand his character’s feelings that well and hopefully it changes as the drama goes on. But i shall end my rant here.
Main take away: KTR is a great actor, NJH can do better.

Yessss its not that hard to congratulate your daughtteeerrrrr 😣 Maybe theres a reason NHD’s mom changes and hopefully there is but i dont think there should be an excuse for a mom to hide how she’s feeling about her daughter ESPECIALLY if those feelings are good

LOL i get what you mean. I listen to her speak then i get pissed off but then she continues talking and then I understand her stance. I do still have a little bitterness against her tho☺️

WHEN I TELL YOU I FELT THIS. I also didn't enjoy the second couple that much but as I kept trying to understand their positions, it just started making sense to me. It was definitely a tragic ending for them but I'm just happy that she learned a lot of things from him, like how she was actually more obsessed than "in love" with Ri Jeong Hyeok. AND YES, HER MOM FINALLY UNDERSTOOD HER: "They love each other more than their lives. There's nothing I can do about it." Like awwwwwhhhhwwhh!!! And that was a beautiful scene bc Jeong Hyeok's mom also understood😭

The fact that her only cameo in her entire career is in Hyun Bin's dramaaaaa 😭😭
