I wish i waited for better subs, but this was still a beautiful watch either way. I was touched throughout the film but I didn't shed a tear until they showed his dad saying "thank you for being born". I bawled at that sentence (like i was saving all my tears for that time xD)
This drama had a stronger start than finish. The plot started to thin out towards the last episodes and not everyone may like the "filler" scenes/conflicts. (I for sure didn't, I think they could have wrapped the story up nicely in around 12 eps). Regardless, I really liked it and would definitely recommend it to fans of fluffy romcoms. It was a fun watch with a lot of sweet moments, plus the characters were all so charming each in their own way. The finale also dragged a bit but it had some really nice parts that make this drama a Can't Miss!
I began to dislike this from the very first episode. it just didn't have that uniqueness/wow factor. but i don't like dropping/skimming dramas, so i chose to watch the full episodes on YouTube... WITH THE SPEED SET TO 2X LOL ^^;; then it wasn't so bad. definitely didn't feel draggy!(talking moreso about the family drama scenes, i think the main plot wouldn't have dragged even at normal speed) lmao
and yes, it was really odd to watch it like that at first, but i was willing to put up with it just to get the drama over with. unfortunately i found the drama too predictable and bland. i wasn't ready to invest a full 16 h into another chaebol story, but i gave it (*half*) a chance for the cast, esp Sung Joon. too bad though, even though i didn't sense any bad acting, i didn't find any of the characters particularly likeable :( i'm not even mad, just sorry, and i wish i had liked this drama more...
i watched this on a day off from school. i expected more from the plot, but i still really liked it overall. it was cute :) the acting was great and i loved the cast. also the setting was really nice, i wasn't even alive in the 80s but i could sense the nostalgic feel lol
this is the first drama that I rewatched! strangely, even though i knew what would happen, i feel like i enjoyed it more the second time. 4 or 5 years after first seeing this, my score has gone from 8.5 to a 10. yay!
just came back from watching episode 1! well, most of it. after a while I started fastforwarding as I wasn't too interested in the supporting storyline apart from the 4 leads... I know this drama hasn't gone along too far yet but would I be missing out if I don't pay as close attention to the families? u__u it's been one episode but I'm already sensing dragginess. hopefully I'm wrong and simply judged too quickly? That aside I really like the main cast :) hyped!
lee jong suk's acting is so much fun to watch xD and his chemistry is good with both female leads. i can't wait to see what will happen with this story. as for jsy, i actually LIKE her. (though, everyone could use improvement...). so far we don't know a lot about her character but /wishful thinking/ i hope she'll be full of badassery in this drama. AND BORA!! her role is pretty small but dang she's so cute ;w; overall it's too early to say if i'll like this drama, but so far, the episodes have been really good. i hope the writers don't let us down!
I want to erase this movie from my memory and watch it all over again. Coming from someone who has seen it months ago, I still haven't gotten over it :(
After watching many Korean dramas, today I was kinda craving a bit of something in Japanese. Then I saw this! :D I just finished watching the first episode and it really exceeded my expectations. I admit that I was pretty skeptical at first regarding the lead girl, since she's so young. (My age! Well, a bit older but w/e.) After watching, she proved me wrong. I actually think I'll be a big fan of her :3 The rest of the cast is great too, and I'd assume they fit their roles well...?
Yeah, assume... I know there's the unofficial "must-see" list of K/Asian dramas, including Playful Kiss... but I admit I haven't gotten around to that :O Meaning... this is my first ever adaptation of the story, so I'm absolutely unbiased and completely new here :D
It's off to a great start - hope it'll have dedicated subbers :)
Agreed, season 2 isn't as good as the original. But I grew to love the cast & I enjoyed the music. It wasn't something to take as seriously as DH1 (there are sad moments, but they weren't too intense) and it's pretty funny! It's great for curing boredom so if you have time to kill, give it a try :D
