BOUNPREM!!!!
I just wanted to show my appreciation because I’ve missed bounprem so much and this first episode was way better than I could’ve ever imagined. I loved to comedic aspects, the darker vibe and of course their chemistry!! I feel like GMM is really leaning into vampires (of course after My Golden Blood) and this show seems just as good if not better than previous bl vampire series. Have to drop
Although I thought the acting in this series was some of the best I’ve seen in any Thai bl, the plot made me so viscerally angry I have to drop it for my own piece of mind. There is no way in hell I can root for Gulf’s character when he’s so unbelievably unlikeable, he literally hate crimed people and we’re expected to just let it go?! This show makes gay men seem like predators which I think is just a recipe for negativity from an outside audience. It was heartbreaking to see how Gulf’s character handled his abuse as a child but I think the notion that older gay men are praying on young boys is too harmful to forget. Older men who are attracted to little boys are not gay, they are pedophiles. I’m sure the story might wrap up nicely and resolve in the end but at this point, I’m too angry to continue to the end.Was this review helpful to you?
Save yourself from this...
I don’t know yet whether I’ll drop this show, but three episodes in and I’m already questioning every decision I’ve ever made. About 80% of it is the most awkward, forced sex scenes imaginable. Another 10% is AI-generated slop, and the remaining 10% is conversations between the leads that exist solely as foreplay for more sex.I keep having to skip through the pointless AI segments because they add absolutely nothing to the plot. If the company didn’t have the budget to hire artists to illustrate those voiceovers, they should’ve cut them entirely instead of padding the runtime with lifeless filler. Strip out the plotless AI nonsense and the endless sex scenes, and these three episodes would barely amount to 20 minutes of teeth-grindingly awkward, forced chemistry.
Worst of all, this show came at the worst possible time. I can’t even rewatch My Sweetheart Jom anymore- forever cursed :’(
