I went into this movie expecting a quirky romantic comedy, and I was so pleasantly surprise by the depth and beauty of this film.... truly recommended!
..............its Taekie isn't it..? If she still looks at the door after that confession... and the ring left…
exactly... that is how i felt. like JH finally said what he kept inside all these years, then made a joke out of it to not burden her, and leaving the ring behind to signify the episode title "goodbye my first love"... I am also in shock. I dont even mind that Taek is endgame, I love Taek and I was expecting my heart to break for him, but thats the point, I was prepared for that. Now I feel like they sent me overboard......... and not in a good way, I hate this feeling. I love everything about these series, but I hate the hubby game...
..............its Taekie isn't it..? If she still looks at the door after that confession... and the ring left on the table is JH giving up completely....... damn these series.. why do I never learn? I went through this last 2 season as well and I fell for it again. My love/hate relationship with the Reply series leans towards hate right now. Not because I mind Taek being endgame. I love Taekie, and I do like him and DS together.. I just hate that the writers AGAIN made it seem all series long like endgame is the other person... my heart aches for Junghwanie.....
did the ending of 16 imply that Taekie overdosed on pills?? I mean, I remember he said a couple weaks ago he'd…
i thought so myself, but 1. he mentioned in this ep that he has a number of different pills, and 2. even though i haven't heard this statement from the writters, i can't really trust them when the lie every time; they said this series won't have the husband game either SMH. But in any case, your comment gave me some encouragement, thank you!!!
did the ending of 16 imply that Taekie overdosed on pills?? I mean, I remember he said a couple weaks ago he'd…
...I watched the ep once and thought "no big deal" and then I rewatched it while I was cutting the scenes to vid it and thought, "waaaaaait.... no... NO!!" and so I needed to ask people to make sure no one thinks the show would get there!! I mean sure, they killed the sister/brother in 97/94 but the sister only appeared in one ep, and the brother not at all, THEY WOULDNT make us love a character and off him weeks later?!!
did the ending of 16 imply that Taekie overdosed on pills?? I mean, I remember he said a couple weaks ago he'd "die" without Deoksun, but this is NOT that kind of story, right?!!
aaaarg there we go, hubby game is full on this week TT
I'm still pretty sure hubby is Junghwan, but Teukie is SO game lately, and my heart aches for Junghwan.. especially after this week (i foresee junghwan trying to ignore his feeling to support teukie, and it huuurts) TT
CAN SOMEONE SUB THIS ALRDY????!! PLEASE MY GOD I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER
I guess subs will be out in dramafever. For those who cant see that due to location issues, this is what I do. Dramafever's drama is always dfdotcom slash drama slash numberofdrama slash numberofepisode slash nameofdrama. Now, if the drama is sot available in your region, you can just adjust the link (its easy to figure this out) so for example the first episode of R1988 will be http://www.dramafever.com/drama/4706/1/Answer_Me_1988/ . you can take this link and paste it to downsub.com where you can download it even though you are not in the US. The same applies for Viki as well. ;)
There it is. the episode where we're supposed to feel bad and sorry for Sooah... The writers throw a "mental…
I respect your opinion, but I disagree. They were aware of the time constraints since the first week the drama aired, The writing was messy all around, and if the writer wanted this ending (which she did, and we all knew at very start what kind of drama this is) then she should have handled it better. I do understand where you're coming from though, and this is all thanks to the kids acting and chemistry, it had nothing to do with the writing, which is what my comment was all about.
EDIT: just to mention as a counter-example, a drama with time constraints and complete story (with school kids): White Christmas
There it is. the episode where we're supposed to feel bad and sorry for Sooah... The writers throw a "mental problem" for her and we're supposed to forgive her? She didnt have a mental problem, she was just a selfish person who hurt everyone because she was overstressed. How convenient that she didnt have to face consequences too... what if teacher did lose his job? what if Hadong had a serious freakout from the basketball incident? what if yeol was expelled and had his future tainted and/or was seriously injured/died? what if yeondoo got into an accident/was raped/killed when she was abandoned in the middle of nowhere?
Sure, writers, everything got resolved well, so lets pretend she is a good person after all.
all i feel like doing is bitch-slaping Kwon So Ah straight on the face!!!! okay like yea we get it you need to…
that was pretty much my reaction too, my patience is over with that girl. when Yeol was walking towards her at the end I just wanted him to slap/punch/kick her. enough is enough.
Like the scene where she told Yeol "the school is so noisy because of you" I was like, "hell no, you've been the trigger of every. single. problem. in this drama since the very beginning!". She is a horrible person, and the fact that she doesn't even acknowledge it and acts like the victim makes her even worse.
I know everything is gonna work out for the best at the end, but can we for once, NOT forgive the evil kid? I…
oh yes. they try to justify her actions by "i'm so misunderstood"/"i am going through so much hardship"/"no one understands me"/"my mom doesnt love me" scenes, but then there she goes screwing someone (in every. single. episode). I was willing to forgive her the first two times, but i'm out, she had her chances and more, and she wasted them. And I know the scriptwritters will try to show her feeling bad at the ery last moment, and then all the good people in the drama will just forgive her, but NO. enough of that.
I know everything is gonna work out for the best at the end, but can we for once, NOT forgive the evil kid? I mean I get it, they are lost and need luuuv and all that, but I can't sympathize with Sooah at all and I don't want her to ask for forgiveness and be forgiven after everything she's done. She keeps screwing people over and over again, Yeondoo, Hajoon, Teacher, Yeol, being all serf absorbed. Yes, alright we got it, you got it bad, but other people (in the story also) have it even worse so give it a rest. School 13 and 15 had characters like Junho (who I could forgive) and Soyoung (who I could not), and they both got forgiven. For once, can we NOT forgive the bad guy/bully?
I'm still pretty sure hubby is Junghwan, but Teukie is SO game lately, and my heart aches for Junghwan.. especially after this week (i foresee junghwan trying to ignore his feeling to support teukie, and it huuurts) TT
