How does this drama copying ATCY? Because of the time travel theme? If that’s the case, then all time travel…
Rather than comparing with ATCY, wouldn't "Shining for One Thing" make a better comparison? The concepts are more similar with the main difference being that LR has a closed ending and SFOT (series) had an open ending, if you badly need to compare dramas 😅
I mean the only similarity between ATCY and Lovely Runner is with the concept of going back in time to save a loved one - the rest of the drama is quite different since ATCY deals with *switching souls between doppleganger bodies across time*.
Character awareness of the switch, the reason behind the suicide, and the final villain are similarly quite differently handled so you can't really call it a copy.
Choosing to like or hate the ML/ actor's performance is subjective so I respect your opinion but he must have done something right seeing as he won quite alot of awards and accolades for his portrayal of Sunjae even after excluding the ones controlled by fan votes.🙊
Hubs & wife (ML & FL) are in an arranged marriage uniting two chaebol families. Wife wasn't supposed to be the…
She can't afford to break the contract since she has to pay ₩2BN if she wants a divorce. The ML's callous behaviour during the kidnapper's negotiation call was her last straw. The kidnapper's encrypted phone seemed like the perfect way to get what she wants anonymously (she's that desperate).
She's basically trying to force the ML to divorce her by using his high profile family's reputation as a bargaining chip.
(What the FL doesn't know is that the reason why the ML was so cruel during the call was because he honestly believed it was a scam since the FL's mum lied to him that the FL was with her at the time of the kidnapping).
Was it the fact that Hong Hee Joo was actually kidnapped or was it the realisation that she was willing to hide…
It's a combination of the kidnapping and the 406 calls.
Their main issue was lack of communication. Since Heeju was desperate to get her divorce, she didn't sugar coat her situation. The more Sa Eon understood Heeju's concerns, the more he fought back for her even unconsciously (up until that point he was under the impression that for a loveless marriage, they were in good terms even if there was no love).
The trauma behind knowing that he nearly lost Heeju I guess killed whatever remaining resolve he had to keep her at a distance for his plan's sake.
Heeju in turn got to see a different side of Sa Eon through the calls since in his classic blunt way, Sa Eon never hid his true feeling to 406 ironically.
(The "Couple's day" test in the interview pretty much sums up their predicament - they play mind games instead of communicating their concerns directly)
I don't understand who was park do jae's brother and when did that kidnaper killed him ?.. please someone explain…
PDJ and his brother used to live in the same orphanage as Sang Woo (SML) when they were kids.
PDJ's brother is one of the murdered victims. The murderer is the real Sa Eon (Kidnapper) when they were kids. He is a sociopath who leans towards killing anything and anyone.
Our Sa Eon has no connection to the orphanage or the murders. The only reason he gets dragged into this mess is because of the switched identities and the fact that real SE blames our SE for not trying to help him when his grandfather tried to drown him.
Listened to The Fray after a long time and the following lyrics reminded me of a certain couple we all love- is it just me? 🥲
"Look After You by The Fray"
🎵If I don't say this now, I will surely break, As I'm leaving the one I wanna take, Forgive the urgency, but hurry up and wait, My heart has started to separate
*** There now, steady love, so few come and don't go, Will you, won't you be the one I'll always know? When I'm losing my control, the city spins around, You're the only one who knows, you slow it down
Guys, I have a question, cause I guess I missed it - how did Sang U get the fisherman's info?
They didn't disclose if I'm not mistaken but he has been searching for the fisherman since the fisherman's new name is registered as the owner of the Villa...he probably found a lead on this that led to the 🐠store
I don't get one thing. I've always thought that main mother-b!tch is ML's real mother (even if his real father…
In a way, our Sa Eon is like her son since she did help a lot to "create" his persona but none of it really matters since at the end of the day, psycho or not, the kidnapper is her true son- the son she abandoned in fact.
Since she hates the grandfather for forcing her to let go of her son, it's possible that she resents our SE for being good at everything. I mean he's a constant reminder that she failed her son🙈
The dad lives in his own world so isn't worth wasting breath over- even the mum is done with him 🤭
I have a couple of questions: 🤔1. Who was responsible for the two arsons that kidnapper said wasn't his doing?…
PDJ wasn't involved in any of the fires. It was the arsonist (not related to the kidnapper) who claimed that he was not involved with the office explosion and the other arson. These were carried out by the kidnapper.
(This is the reason why the Master (i.e. PDJ) texted the kidnapper to stop working alone- the fires were never part of the plan)
At least the wait is almost over! The pre-release is torture ngl 🥲
On the bright side, they'll probably share the second pre-release in a couple of hours

(Tried my best to not spoil the ending - sorry for the criptic answer!)
The genre usually has positive endings im general anyway so we should be safe.
They added it months after the show ended though so the drama didn't really get to enjoy NF's platform's boost as much as it could have.
