The dad pretty much said "ah so you really do care about her" after the cliff incident and the mum is sharp enough to have noticed how SE's hackles usually raise when they insult Heeju infront of him/ how he was like during the cliff incident 🙈

I did find it interesting though how the reporters simply chose to be human for once and focus on his wife's disappearance instead of the "I am a fake" declaration🙈

It has to have a happy ending. The writer has been pushing Heeju's "ordinary life" dream too hard to give us a tragic end.

What if the Baek adults didn't fail him when he first showed signs of his psychosis? What if they at least took action after the first murder? The fact that it took fish, a cat, and four murders to make them realize that they were in deep 💩 is astounding.

The Baeks keep telling that he was born a monster but honestly the family's actions made him worse than what he already was 🤷‍♀️

The only time the father said something sensible was "we both created a monster" honestly.

It looks like the reporter and SE have their own story behind the trenches. The way the reporter read between the lines and understood SE behind all his gruffness is just so heart warming🥲

The way even he was so heartbroken on behalf of his friend while covering Heeju's accident is just 💔 (specially considering the fact that he's a seasoned reporter who should remain objective infront of the camera).

Unless, if you watch the flashback. Heeju was seated right next to SE and she noticed him leave the table without eating anything. Coincidentally she filled her plate with a lot of food (it was really abit much for a kid ngl). Perhaps she served for both of them but her mum caught her first?
(The scene can be a little easter egg for the readers maybe?)

That's true. I guess they had to keep some of the main elements in the drama to appease fans of the novel/ webtoon since they made so many changes.

For instance, in the novel, HJ used to sneak SE's favourite food to him when they were kids. I really liked that bit so was abit disappointed that they didn't add it to drama.

You are right though, it's interesting how they choosed not to continue with SW's pov of the ring plot since he even brought it up in his vlog. Unless- was it the same episode or the previous/ next episode we saw SE's nightmare? They could have used the sketch to hint that SE's nightmares are connected to SW's case?

Mama Baek seemed to truly believe tjat her son was dead though. I guess since she lost her son, she just really wanted to make her sacrifice worth it by winning the election? Once she found out that he was alive, together with the father's incompetence and SE's lack of commitment, she simply gave up and choosed her son.

What I love about WTPR is that at first glance it looks very male dominant but honestly it's the women who control everything (the obvious pair is Heeju and Mama Baek but discreetly, In Ah has more power over her dad too).

I'm curious to know what will happen to SE. I know that in the novel things aren't as bleek as it seems in the long run but the drama tends to veer off from the novel so it's hard to tell what they have in store for him🫠

TMAI! The accelerated healing process make so much sense in kdrama land since the drama takes place within a month's time space. It would have been a nightmare for the makeup and styling team to replicate the injuries in all the episodes 😅😅😅

Heeju's bio dad was her mum's ace to control her. One of the reasons why Heeju agreed to marry SE was because her mum promised to take care of his medical expenses (her mum threatened her in ep 2 to not to mess up her marriage when she came to drop off Heeju's "work clothes").

Logically it makes more sense why the chairman would pick his secret illegitimate son to be part of his legacy than a random kid who knows that he murdered his own grandson. If he isn't above murdering his biggest sponser's TODDLER to hide his secret, a fisherman's son is child's play.

He probably kept tabs on Sa Eon enough to know that he's not a loose cannon like his legitimate family.

It's possible that the test was a paternity test. Since they never showed the % of the DNA match, it's believable.

The threshold % to be a parent would be significantly high compared to just being related (specially as a half sibling)

Sa Eon mentioned that he was being tracked in ep 10...it wouldn't have been that difficult for PDJ to figure it out sprcially since he's been working with SE even before he got married
