Oh no doubt the YT versions are the best versions, but so far I think Viki for eg is still showing the original version rather than the YT version. I suppose this could be due to the fact that youku has redefined post production and they are still changing the drama at the last minute before broadcast.

I imagine there's a strong possibility that Netflix will put WOH on when youku finally finishes releasing their post post post produced versions. I wonder if they will show the original or the YT versions though.

Yes that is very apt description of WKX. I remember the producer also told ZZH that ZZS has to be the anchor of the story while WKX flits around.

Really amazing that so much detail and attention has been put in this drama - it really is such a hidden gem.

Yes, plus now when I go back and watch him as the prince with a deadpan face, I just cannot.............after seeing his full range of emotions in WOH, watching him in Yunxi or Ruyi Pavillion is like watching a completely different actor. In fact in Legend of Yunxi I actually preferred Merxat :)

As a sci-fi buff, I had a lot of problems with the logic and probability of Wandering Earth.....one can see the attempt to make a sci-fi blockbuster but not really quite there yet.

Umm yes that peacekeeper in Africa movie - will be interesting to see what that's like given that it has all these well-known actors in it. The premise seems a bit strange. Is it supposed to be released in conjunction with the 100th anniversary celebrations?
ZZH also has Retro Detective in the pipeline - that one sounds promising.

But these were already being filmed before WOH exploded on the scene. I imagine now they will be able to have their pick of choice projects.

ZZH has said he would really like to do a sci-fi drama. But I don't think I've really seen any good Chinese sci-fi - that genre in c-drama seems very underdeveloped.

IKR - and this is supposed to be a low budget series - how is it that everything about it is so memorable?

For me I actually really liked ZZS' beggar getup - by donning that he was leaving everything behind and literally letting his hair down. That feeling when he was in the peach blossom orchard that he was just happy to be a bastard that rides and dashes...........it's in the novel too and such a liberating moment for ZZS. And I think also for ZZH as an actor.

I remember in one of their early interviews, when GJ was asked what he was up to currently, ZZH indignantly implied that GJ had been snubbed by some TV show and he said I bet they're regretting it big time now that he is so wildly popular. How the tide has turned! Hope they both get great scripts in the near future - looking forward to seeing what they will do next.

Youku dusting off and re-releasing/promoting GJ's earlier work: Lost Love in Times SP. WOH's qi is so powerful it can revitalize older works -LOL. This was actually the first drama I saw GJ in and at that time I didn't even know his name. GJ - you've really come a long way.........

Hmmmm all of a sudden I got locked out and all my comments have been deleted............but here's my starting comment: WKX's red outfit auctioned off at 30,000 USD and ZZS new year/winter blue outfit sold for 9,000 USD. Youku wondering which lucky star is shining on them............
