Never posted a comment here before, but this time I felt I needed to do some ranting.
MAJOR SPOILERS
Fuck whatever retard that wrote ep 24-25 and the whole leaving for 6 years without a word thing. FL was supposed to be a strong woman? At the moment she left without a word I lost all respect for the character! Not a single ounce of sympathy for her after that. Don't care what excuse she might have had. Didn't want him to give up his dream for her? Let him decide what his dream and priorities are. She could also have followed him to Germany - as others have pointed out. Afraid Er Gao (or whatever his name was) was going to go after Ling Rui? Sure, leaving without a word - breaking his heart - is probably a much better way of ensuring he suffers.
And then staying away for 5-6 years, not even telling him he was a father? Yeah - no matter her excuses at that point I really had to force myself to believe she ever loved him.
Now, I'll admit that I'm extremely sensitive to abandonment (most likely have some issues that I should see a professional about) but people who does this sort of shit... I really have no respect or sympathy what-so-ever for them. Doesn't matter what race, gender, religion you might have - if you leave your partner that you supposedly love in the way that was done in this show... I call bullshit on you loving that person at all, and you belong to one of the most pathetic and weak groups of people there is.
Was Ling Rui completely innocent in this? Yes! Should he have told her about Germany? Absolutely! He tried... And he should have kept on trying, but him deciding on his own that she was more important than his dream of going to Germany is not enough of a reason to leave him without a word. Had she yelled at him, called him an idiot and/or other names, I really wouldn't have blamed her. Heck, I'd even reluctantly been able to accept them breaking up over it. Because at least they would have tried to communicate at that point. Not all relationships work out - no matter how regrettable that may be - but for the love of all that is holy, at least try to talk to each other and don't just arbitrarily break the other persons heart by leaving and disappearing without a word.
Talk to each other people!!!!!
Kudos to the actress though! Must have been more invested in the character and relationship than I thought in order to feel as shitty as I do after watching this mess
