After reading a translation of one of the chapters of the novel provided by a friend, I think I should definitely read the novel. I feel that there were a lot of omissions and cuts in the show to really enjoy the whole meaning and beauty of it.

The teacher from Smells Like Green Ghost gave me the creeps before anything happened... the way he looked at Mishima, the way he drooled every time he saw him. But this teacher doesn't give me the same vibe. And maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see what you see.🤷🏽‍♀️

You are right if he is actually grooming his disciple, but if he is not, then you are all exaggerating. You cannot say that all behavior is predatory just because some behavior is. Of course grooming is wrong, but it is also wrong to accuse someone of something that is not true.
I only talked about college in terms of drinking beer, but I also had coffee with some teachers (men and women) while being underage, it was completely fine and not sexually intended.

Who cooks in a functional non toxic relationship has nothing to do with what I'm saying here. Fujisawa controls every aspect of Sei's life, he doesn't want him to see other friends, he doesn't want him to work, he doesn't want him to leave the house....In my opinion, he can stick all the meals he cooks up his own *ss.

Not seeing bad intentions where there are none does not mean that I am excusing predatory behavior. Maybe somebody here is seeing things that only exist in their mind. Not every little thing has an ulterior motive.

Fujisawa is a controlling son of a bitch who wants/needs Sei to be completely dependent on him and no one else. He wants Sei isolated from the the world. I guess at some point we'll find out why...or maybe not.

Well, as I said before, we´ll have to wait and see if there is really something weird in the teacher´s intentions or not. My bet is that there is not.

I have had coffee (and even beer in college) with teachers and nothing inappropriate has ever happened...I guess thinking about the worst case scenario is not my thing or maybe I just was lucky.
