Some people mistake simple-mindedness for carefree and cute. I know that not all stories have to have a deep meaning to be good, but humour can and should be something more elaborate than just making faces and acting childish. Dull is just that, dull.

I don't think we have to be supportive just because; actors, directors, writers, producers etc all have their share of responsibility for the final product. As I said before, if you have talent you don't need so many resources to make a good product (there are other low budget productions made by inexperienced people, with better story, development and end result) and I do think one of the main problems here, apart from the actors, is the direction, that's my opinion and I owe nothing to anyone to keep silent about it. There is certainly no need to insult anyone to substantiate my point, let alone just for expressing an opinion different from mine, which is why I try not to do what I don't like to be done.😉

What does the theme have to do with the quality of a production? I have already said that my opinion is not influenced by the subject matter. If the story, script, direction and acting are good, I don't care if it's about Martians or amoebas. The fact that it's one of the few about vampires doesn't mean we should be more forgiving of its flaws and by the way, contrary to what you said, if you have talent, it doesn't take that many resources to make a quality product. And of course they are free to go on doing what they do in the way they do it, but I am also free to express my opinion.
I believe some people in here have the impression that by hearing supernatural/vampire series they will see Brad…
No, they could do a lot better, but they just don't. Besides, effort does not equal quality, and speaking for myself, I will continue to criticise what I don't like. All work is susceptible to criticism from the recipients; actors and production should be no exception. Ah, and I don't particularly like vampire stories, but I can enjoy them if they are well told and nicely done, which is not the case with this one, the theme has nothing to do with my opinion.
The director's guidelines must have been: you make a sulky/pouty face or look expressionless the whoooole time and that's it, that´s how we build the main characters.
Forcebook do the same roles and are being criticised for that there's no winning with these people
People, myself included, criticize bad acting regardless of the role. Not only do we hope that an actor can play different roles, but we also hope tha he can do it right, which is not the case here, nor in the example you gave.
Okay I'm already subscribed to iQiyi again but the comments are not making me excited to watch this special episode.…
Yes it´s bad, yes, someone did die and yes, there´s a cliffhanger after the credits but that doesn't guarantee a second season, so don´t hold your breath.
As a gay man, I'm totally repulsed by this series' presentation. I'm not colorful enough for such rainbow of nonsense.…
Well, they don't have to represent you or anyone else but themselves, I mean, it's a story about this group of kids in particular who are how they are. You don't have to be a gay Thai teenager who likes gel nails to identify with the array of emotions expressed in that specific story... or you can, of course, not identify at all with them but to use such strong words as repulsed or depraved is kind of exaggerated, don´t you think? 😅Also, I don't see why a series should necessarily be educational.
