I'm soo hooked on this series! I loved FoF and like it VoS has stunning cinematography, an amazing score and an incredible talented cast. And those are the only similarities I can draw between those two series. The rest is very different.
VoS is doing something different with its story , its really complex and I do hope thats not gonna be its downfall. Such intricate, complex and a bit convoluted stories can run away from themselves and end up being just a mess. I really really hope thats not gonna happen, cause the way it just messes with my expectations is everything to me! It so intriguing and bloody entertaining. And also those fight scenes are a delight to watch, some of the best I've seen in a while.

Ep. 10 Ending:

Alright somebody explain to me what the hype is about this series? I somehow muddled through most of the episodes but this series to me is blander than water-soup! This series is missing: 1. A good story, 2. Acting that doesn't feel like a sleeping pill commercial, 3. Chemistry between the Leads, 4. Consensual Sex, 5. Kisses that aren't on the level of a shy middle school girl and well maybe a tiny bit skin showing. I get that they had to play it safe, cause any of the people involved would like to have an actual career in the chinese industry after this project. However, this whole series feels like I'm watching a bunch of victorian debutants trying to flirt for the first time. There is such a thing as playing it to safe and sacrificing actual entertainment in the process. Even looking at it, as baby steps taken to have BL be accepted in the chinese entertainment industry, this feels like its going about it the wrong way.

Mile is clearly enjoying this role to the utmost!! But dang this series is good. Its flashy in all the right kind of ways, yet clearly goes hard on the political subjects, the acting is bloody amazing and the sound...uuh shivers! And don't get me started on the cinematography, the sets and costumes! Just damn they've done it right. This production must have cost a freaking fortune!! And it is well worth it. I really hope this series gets wide spread recognition cause so far it deserves it.

I don't normally like domundi's stuff, just wasn't my cup of tea and the fact that they have two pairs with questionable age gaps always made me shy away from most of their productions. However when I first saw the trailer to Khemjira I was hooked, I love dark fantasy & horror! And yes so far the trailer holds true! It got heaps of lore, amazing special effects, incredible beautiful cinematography, jaw dropping acting and fitting soundtrack. If they don't f up the story going forward, this might just be the best series domundi has ever produced!

Is it a masterpiece? Nah! However there were quite a few beautifully shot scenes, good Dialogs and the flow in the beginning was good. But at times I really did question the directors choices. Some scenes were utterly unnecessary (and no not the NC's scenes) or uncomfortably long, like as if they forgot to call cut. Some of the plotholes are caused by poorly written source material and the fact that 12 ep. was clearly to short to evolve the storyline properly. Which is why the build-up to the ending felt extremely rushed and unpolished. But the OST is outstanding!

Last episode in a Nutshell for me, without spoilers:
Thara is a hidden theatre-kid with all the over the top theatrics and the bad costumes, that finally gets to shine (cough...).
Mark is One Punch Man, this Emoji 🥺, a connoisseur of a good office desk tango and a certain snack in Tong form.
Tong is addicted to cheese (soo much cheese!!!), Mark, ruining plans and unsuccessful unaliving.
Nakan is well, he's pretty much just the millstone around Thara's neck.
And Tonkla its probably pretty pissed in the afterlife right now....
Now add to that a whole lotta rose (and rainbow)coloured dialogs, with sooo much cheesiness the swiss feel threatened, unnecessarily awkward scenes cause nobody called cut and a very subtle Dracula joke at the end. Did I laugh at probably very inappropriate times? Yes, one too many times. Was it fun to watch? Yes! Was the ending great? Well yes and no...it was something thats for sure.

Somebody at GMMtv forgot to calculate the budget for a bigger bathtub....on the other hand now I know they're both kinda flexible.
Muscles were sore after, just not the right muscles I'm afraid.

Walking straight...well nothing straight here clearly but I'm impressed already Jun's able to stand or move at all. Mate should've been in an ambulance on his way to the ER. The whole time I was like: Dude I hope you know a good proctologist cause a bandaid ain't fixing that tear! And besides lube....somebody also really needs to teach Sorn what a condom is, boy's a walking STD warning sign and Jun apparently can't read!

He got the better death than the novel, his death in the novel served no purpose and was stupid as heck. I still had hopes that the writers just left that out, since his character in the series had purpose. But I didn't finish the novel, stopped when the truth (???) about what happens when Tong turns 21 came up. Can you enlighten me if that was just a lie Thara told Mark??

Is this a standard BL series, with a lot of the tropes one normally expects? No it is not, so if you need that this might not be for you.
For me it was about the growth of the characters, especially Fifa's. Hem's character growth was maybe a wee bit to subtle, I think they might have cut something there that they shouldn't have. The love story is interwoven with their characters growth but isn't one with massive unrealistic drama or extremely fast paced. This is a rather realistic progression of growing feelings, in the setting of this series. Its lgbtqia+ no doubt but it isn't a BL, in at least what I understand a BL is, but more a slice of life. The ending for me fit the story progression and more than the bittersweet light touching of lips at the end would've ruined it. There might not be another season but it leaves me with space to imagine my own Ending to their story. I enjoyed it, this series felt a bit like a poem of sorts.

The ending was fitting on how the series progressed and what was, at least for me, the focus of it. And lets be honest, their feelings might have progressed and been silently acknowledge by them but it was in no way at a point where a lot of physical intimacy would've made sense. This series is far closer to a real scenario than a BL is anyway.

Sorn is getting the award for most closeted Bi/Pan of 2025 and biggest HR nightmare of all times. Mate is in about four closet's at the same time and hasn't quite figured out how doorknobs work (other knobs a wee bit better though).
Is the acting any good so far? Not from my pov but somehow, just a creeping feeling you know, the acting isn't the main point of this unhinged ride I've been sent off in the first episode. Tbh I don't think the acting is gonna get any better further down the line and neither are the dialogs.
By the way: who the heck came up with the idea to let the dude strangle his cobra (and the other one) in the garden? In broad daylight, while the house was full of people? Them poor koi's in the pond be traumatized! Justice for the fishes!

you forgot: tonkla somehow just accepting that tong suddenly vanished into thin air from the infirmary! srsly if my bff suddenly went missing like that while sick, I would go batshit crazy! And if they just turn up in our room without any explanation, I probably would rip them a new one for scaring the shit out of me.

Quite honestly, not sure where I was asking a question...
But deeper doesn't always mean bigger impact, especially not when they do these over the top slurping sounds or those scenes drift happily into the tacky realm.
For me what made those last few scenes so impactful is, that their kissing scenes felt more sensual and intimate. But wasn't carried by any, moaning or extensive touching. Not sure if I can bring my point across very well...I'll just go with those last scenes had more of an impact than quite a few deeper kissing scenes.

Lesson has been learned: fried chicken and my golden blood don't go well together. While Gawin and Joss clearly go together amazingly well, mind- and ventricularly blowing well.

My exclamation, after I stopped coughing up the fried chicken, was along these lines: Bloody Hell!!Need to watch again! Oh wow...MOAR!!

Gotta love them being so committed to each others lips and apparently also to destroying what little sanity last weeks top form ep. has left me with.
