Now that you mentioned it, I do remember having watched some Cdramas loosely based on Princess Taiping and her power struggle with her nephew. It does make sense then that Princess Rou Jia could be an antagonist later if the series is drawing inspiration from this part of history. Thanks for sharing good insights! =)

It's been rumored that he had been greatly injured during the last battle. Then during one of the early episodes (maybe ep 3) when she did an autopsy on the murdered dancer, she found out that he had been poisoned, plus he was using dangerous method to combat the poison, so his internal energy was all messed up and weakened. He was also not married. So, from all this, she thought he was injured "there" too.
You think she may want the throne? She did say, had she not been born a woman, she would have been able to do more. Or you think she's seeking vengeance for wrongs done to her in the past?
Ep 13. and 14 are sooooo entertaining and good!!! The series continues to deliver great content, and a plus for the added humor. I can't wait for the new eps everyday!

After finishing ep 12, I feel Shen Jing Hong is not a villain in this series. He does like the Princess, but maybe feels he's not worthy of her love due to his low status origin. He had some a bad rap playing villain in all the series I've watched him in so I'm always suspicious of him - until ep 12.

Yes, her pretentious scenes with him are just right. I love how she faked love-fawning over him and kept insisting she's part of his people/aides. Hahaha. FSF fits the role, too. He may not be as handsome as some young studs but there's a different kind of magnetism to him as Lord Ding.

It's such a difficult position for the Emperor. I'm neutral with him. He certainly knows all about his mother's evil intention and her constant wanting to take Lord Ding's life, at any cost at that including the 30,000 lives. But he can't deny that she's doing all this because she loves him and wants to clear all obstacles and potential threats to his throne. How could he commit matricide when she was showing him love, albeit the wrong way. Maybe he will toughen up and imprison her later.

I feel that ML's bio mom was murdered by the Dowager Empress and placed the blame on FL's grandfather for not being able to heal ML's bio mom; plus the many other times she tried to kill him, too.

I don't think he would take her out though. I feel like he cares a lot for the Emperor, and wouldn't kill the Dowager Empress out of his love for the Emperor. I DO wish she just disappears somehow. =)
Mu Zhuo Hua is such an awesome character. Intelligent, observant, compassionate, and such a lively personality. I really enjoy Jing Tian bringing MZH to life. There are plenty of cute and adorable moments, and none annoying unlike some other series with intolerable FL's when acting cute.

As for him causing that accident, it was his way to removing her from potential danger in court life since the Dowager Empress was already checking into her background, and he highly suspected the Dowager Empress was behind a lot of bad things that had happened to him and his soldiers.
