Understood. I'm from the US, and here we don't use terms like prefecture and province in describing USA's geography. That's why I feel the term state may be the best equivalent to zhou. The US has regions, states, counties, cities, and towns. Maybe COUNTY could be use as a ZHOU equivalent for those living in the US if state is too big in comparison to Zhou.

Those are real name of major cities and provinces. In historical Cdramas, the geographical names are almost always real EXCEPT when the storyteller purposely indicates it's fictional, such as fictional dynasty and fictional cities , so that the writer can change historical events. As for how the country was governed, I see links were shared . 😀

Well, that chapter of the story is closed. GJS has seen and gone through a lot with what happened. He pretty much has to grow up overnight. I can't wait to see him be a man now and fight back.

Now that I've seen more of LZS and how ruthless he is, he's trash in my book, too. I've been patient with LZS, hoping that he has a sliver of redeeming quality. But, when he had his man killed RuGu's escape helper, the old man, and also had a hand in killing GJS's childhood friend, I realize there is no turnaround for LZS. He IS evil and his pretty face isn't going to gain any sympathy from me. Wang and LZS can both die a painful death!

She's been typecasted. That's why she plays similar roles. That aside, her acting has improved in Hidden Love. Her crying scene in the alley in ep 4 while ML consoled her was very moving.
