Just finished today's ep 12/13. I'm loving FL so much. She's so level headed. Her intelligence and astuteness is on par with Huang Rong from The Legend of the Condor Heroes in the Wuxia/Jianghu realm. She tricked her way out of trouble with the Li Sect's members/elders multiple times, weaving half truth-half false stories. As a matter of fact, I like our FL more than Huang Rong because she's not as prickly. She deserves all the admirers, and of course, ML's🥰
They are not uncles related by blood. It's just a way to address an older man who's the same age/level as your parents, especially if the "uncle" is someone you've interacted with before or is in the same circle/community as you/your parents.
My understanding is that he was exposed from the food/drinks because the saliva was poured into the well. The…
There have been lots of complaints about the poor and choppy edits, leading to disconnection. That scene was a prime example. Much wasn’t explained sometimes. Viewers would have to work things out. I understand your frustration.
The flow and storytelling indeed got issues but it's watchable not the dumpster fire type, at least not yet (I…

The clearing pill was just something else. Lady Yi wanted to test if the imposter was who she thought he was ( the original person who gifted her the clearing pill). He didn’t use it because he still had feelings / respects for her.
How is it so far? I came from Bai Lu's Unveil: Jadewind. I know that her and Zhou Yiran are friends so I'm considering…
I actually like it more than Unveil: Jadewind. I'm having a hard time finishing up U:J even when TWO of my top actress/actor are in it. It's been sitting in my "watching" bucket. I went straight to watch the last 2 episodes which I rarely do since ep 19.
Generation to Generation starts out slow for the first 4-5 eps, but it picks up after that. Some people in the forum strongly dislike the drama because it seems to lack a plot to them. There is a plot, they just don't see it. Hope you enjoy.
I am soooo ready for a smackdown! 2 hours is toooo long
I don't think it's happening in 2 hours. The countdown was wrong yesterday, so I believe it's more like 9hours instead of 2. Of course, I'm praying for 2.
This was recommended to me to fill the void How Dare You left and after binging the first 9 episodes, I am in.…
She was good in Youthful Glory, but she's best in here. I had to drop Whispers of Fate. I've watched Zhou Yi Ran in both main and support roles, but he truly shines in here. They are both at the top of their games in this one.
I know people dislike why so many characters are being introduced yet they seemingly play only a small part in the story.
This is actually a defining hallmark for wuxia genre storytelling, especially those crafted by the legendary Jin Yong and Gu Long. It's extremely common to introduce a massive, sprawling cast of characters, many of which whom play only minor roles. Its purpose is to create a rich, immersive world of the "jianghu" world-building. If you have watched/read enough wuxia, you know there are always jianghu, multiple sects, alliances, demonic sect, wulin conference, martial arts. The protagonists would journey through the story, delving into the sects, their past secrets, forbidden love stories between the righteous sects vs the demonic sect, etc.
Generation to Generation, so far, as I see it, follows these classic elements of wuxia genre. It even includes pressure point technique to freeze a person. I was so happy to see this because a classic wuxia story would have it.
I'm really enjoying the drama. It's truly is a genre that you either get it or you don't. And if you get it, then you'll love the creativity of the whole jianghu wuxia thing. Just like how JRR Tolkien world-built The Lord of the Rings, it is that amazing.
Just finished ep 8, it's getting INTERESTING!!! Last few minutes showcasing ML embracing his role as the young demon lord is thrilling. So glad Zhou Yi Ran is cast for the role. His minute facial expression is perfect, making his character(s) hard to read. But, we do see his features softened when he asked FL if she would give up everything to be with the person she loves.
I CAN"T WAIT FOR THESE TWO TO GET TOGETHER!! I SIMPLY CAN"T WAIT FOR THE DAY WHEN HER ANSWER IS "YES, I"LL GIVE UP EVERYTHING." 🥰
