Not sure how far along you are in ep 19. When she followed him in VR because he said that's the only way for her to stay alive, she got fed up and decided to just give in. She told him she's done with him, and walked away.

As much as I don't like Pei Zhen, I hope he doesn't get in big trouble for his dad's misdeed. You can tell that he doesn't want to go down the wrong path based on the conversation he had with HU Xiu about "can you still change things once foundation is laid and set." On the surface, it sounds like construction related talk, but it's about him trying to find a way to change. She understood his double meaning, and answered in a manner that gave him courage to change regardless of pre-set foundation and to break out of current path for a just and right path.

It cracks me up how Hu Xui handles her frustration by going to the VR multiple times to take it out on ML's character. 🤪

What I love about this drama is that both our FL and SML are so strong! Zhao got rid of her husband and Hu Xiu made up her mind to not care for ML anymore when they know even though it would hurt, it's still the best solution given their respective situations. I LOVE STRONG AND SMART WOMEN!!!

I don't have this discrimination. I haven't seen or heard of it as taboo for ML's to have past relationship. Maybe I've been watching the wrong cdramas? Can't speak from kdramas perspective since I've stopped watching it as much as I used to.
