So many cute and sweet scenes today. I like TZ placing the hairpin for her. It's usually an intimate act between couples. Although they aren't at the moment, but it carries that notion.
Is there an official moniker to coin YY/ YD or TZ /YD as a couple yet? For those who have access to Chinese platforms, what have you seen? Should we try to come up with one on MDL if there isn't an official term as of yet?
Please post your suggestion(s) here, and if possible, the rationale if it's not easily decipherable. If the consensus likes it, we should try to use it. =)
hehehe..we're sooo funny... and I'm having such a kick out of this! Thanks for playing along and making the weekend bearable as we wait for Monday to quench out thirst.
Sharing enjoyable sections of the re-watch ep. 3 as we wait for Monday.
At 14:40, YD fake-cries with exaggerated quivering lips and pleads her case. YY sits in a relaxed yet imposing posture, stares down at her and thinks “she’s up to no good.” After she takes her leave, he looks at the dessert she makes and his face softens with a hint of a smile.
There are several other scenes in ep. 3 where YY shows his famous barely-there-smile like when he sees the belt with a turtle centerpiece YY sends to taunt him, when he scares her off while he bathes, when he places the jade bracelet on her, or when he sees her at the hallway and activates the 15-step spell. He’s obviously enjoying his interactions with YD. When Ji Dou Star Lord asks YY for YD to be his attendant instead, YY flat-out replies “NO.”
YY is so observant and smart. At 23:00 mark, YD serves him tea. He notes how she speaks and smiles SWEETLY at him (something she WOULD NEVER do at this point) and correctly suspects she has tampered with the tea; thus offers to switch tea, much to YD’s disappointment for her failed mission.
I really admire how YY helps YD cultivate without asking her directly by having her make copies of manuals. On the surface, he appears petty and abusive with her, but in reality quite the opposite.
Join the club! I'm rewatching too with an idiotic smile on my face whenever they are on screen.I'm hoping you…
Sadly, I don’t think I’d be of much help in this dept. I watch all genres, but only if they’re able to hold my attention. Having said that, other than IS, Ashes of Love is the only other Xanxia I was able to finish completely; actually, and The Blue Whisper, too, which I FORCED myself to finish. Therefore, my opinion is moot. I’ve sampled all the popular XanXia dramas searchable on MDL, but as said, somehow I find myself skipping too many scenes to justify “completion” – which basically means, I don’t have a good memory of those dramas either. =)

what is Yuan Shen's deal? does he like CSS - seems he does but also not sure its love
He likes her, but he doesn't want to like someone as CSS because he feels she's uneducated, uncontrollable, and crude while he's educated and superior. However, he can't help but be drawn to her, plus to be snubbed and ignored by her on all accounts when ladies are vying for his attention. As much as he denies his feelings and she further moving away from his grasp, he finally caves in and admits that he does like her romantically.
Need something to watch while waiting for the next episodes. I have researched Long Ballad / A Dream of Splendor…
All three are 10's on my scale! Obviously Immortal Samsara is still airing, but it's already a 10 to me. If you don't mind xanxia, watch Immortal Samsara so you can join in the comments live as you are with LLTG. I would leave The Long Ballad last so that you don't get Leo/Lusi overload and clash with LLTG. If you don't like Xanxia, then pick ADOS. Regardless, you can't go wrong with any of the three. Enjoy!
I know some of y'all love the boy but why does Wu Lei always look like he's holding his breath to me? Aiya. Sometimes…
Hmmm, really? Doesn't seem like it to me. Maybe I don't know what the look of holding one's breath is supposed to be like other than having a red face. Please give example.
I'm re-watching, too, now, and only on ep 3. I can't bring myself to view other dramas as much as I look at my list. It's like the "I have nothing to wear when my closet is full of clothes with tags still attached" syndrome.
