Is it me or Lu Ming’s role is played by a different actor in ep 22? During the scene when he was talking to YY about the artifacts, he looked like another person mid-conversation.

I absolutely ADORE this couple as well. They really made this drama awesome. I hardly ever viewed trailers/BTS/clips of a drama, but I’m so crazed about this one, I searched the web for all tidbits of the show!!!

It's to seduce YY, but it wouldn't have been known hadn't Zhi Xi raised the issue of missing artifacts so an investigation can be done and for Ying Deng to be caught red handed with the evidence.

Yup, the ominous background music gave it away. Totally foreshadowing Pei Luo for up to no good deeds.

Totally agree! The actor who plays Yu Mo doesn’t have screen presence. He doesn’t have the aura to command our attention. He doesn’t even have enough magnetic power to release our sympathies for him for not winning YD’s hands. To know that his character is the ML in the novel, this Yu Mo in the drama series really pale in comparison to what a strong SML is, not to mention a potential ML.

There are some loopholes in the story, but I don’t even care because YY/TZ and YD ‘s presence makes up for all the disconnections.

This drama is one of those epic shows that I wish Monday comes sooner!

I hardly ever shed tears from watching dramas, but at the hairpin scene, my eyes welled up. My significant other came out to the living room and caught me hiding behind my phone with red eyes. 😱😂😭
I could only sniffled and muttered to him, “It’s too good. It’s so sad.”

I’m so emotionally invested in this drama and wondered why it is?!

I realized it’s all because of YY and YD, and how YZ and CY performed their roles so amazing well. I wondered if I would enjoy it as much if YY and YD were played by someone else. At the moment, I can’t imagine which pair would be casted instead and still bring forth the same chemistry and feelings.

Ep 15 is so heavy. I screamed in delight when YY jumps off the bridge after YD because even though he’s seemingly distant and cold, he obviously cares enough to make sure she’s not demolished spiritually. Sadly, The brief uplift didn’t last long as I was emotionally overwhelmed by one of the most touching scenes when YD said to YY — “I’ll have you watch me walk across the Night Forgetting River as I erase all memories of you.” Soooooo heartbreaking…..soooo full of sadness..…heaviness. Had this line come from another woman, I’d just deem her spiteful and scorned, but coming from Yang Zi as YD, I feel all the angst.

Love this drama!! Please Production Team, don’t mess it up.

Why is Cheng Yi so freaking magnetic in this drama? He's overly handsome even when spitting blood, war-torn, blind-folded, on his death-bed, etc...It's just too much. I can't take it anymore and need to post another fan-girly note! =P

Yup. I feel the same way. Chen Yi is up there for me after this drama along with kdrama actor Jung Hae In.

Sadly, I dropped Novoland. Even with a grand production team and a great actress , that drama just didn’t do it for me. Maybe I’ll try it again when I’m out of drama to watch.😀

He has to put up an indifferent front. He has to protect YY because if any inkling of visible love is detected between them, she would be heavily punished, And MOST LIKELY carried out by him as dictated by the Supreme Emperor.
