I'm up to the latest ep 10. He's exhibiting signs that he has "knowledge" from the past. We just don't know if he's a good or bad guy. I want to believe that he's a good guy because what happened to him and his family in the past was rather tragic.

PWX has unresolved feelings for LR. He still cares for her greatly, enough to give her anything or pave the way for her happiness in this life. So much that he even creates opportunities for her to be with SRQ so that she can re-explore her feelings for SML. PWX is thinking that she doesn't like him romantically, so just let her be happy with SML.

I really don't mind how they end it as long the journey is a wonderful one. I've watched Kunning Palace and loved it! And to be honest with you, I don't even remember that it's just another story from a book. =)

She was playing dress up in Persian wardrobe in that scene.

This is also my complaint. Not just that but the ONLY awesome song was played for SML in ep 6!! It felt so robbed and misused!

She's Han Chinese from observation. However, they are using wood/bamboo instead of paper, so this places them in a very early dynasty or era, which means before ultra fancy clothing that we normally see in cdramas such as Tang/Song/Qing. Bamboo/wood were used in 200 AD period. She looks very imperial and elegant in some scenes.

I don’t mind it one bit as long as he gets the girl in the end. I know I would enjoy watching his journey in winning her over. 😀

Maybe she felt that he turned that way because of what happened to his family. If she were to save his family, then his psyche and character wouldn't have gone down a dark path.

It's a pity that ZLH's voice is dubbed. I'm so used to hearing him in his last 2 hit dramas that he's not 100% authentic here. =P

I was actually a little bit "mad" that they use such a nice song and shot the scene so beautifully for FL with SRQ. I felt cheated why they didn't reserve this for FL with ML? This is with the thinking that SRQ is a villain or was involved with her demise. Unless....he ISN"T a villain and wasn't involved. ....sigh...anyhow..it felt wasted.

Not sure if he came back from the past. I don't think so based on what we're presented with so far in the drama.

A few more episodes later, you will know whether PWX did it or not. When I was ep 2, I was also thinking who's behind her death.

I’m feeling the same way. It’s the hook that’s keeping me on. He’s hiding something that caused the misunderstanding, yet it’s for her protection. Guess we will find out later….

I agree with you that the editing isn’t great. It’s choppy and simply not smooth with transition. The lack of interesting bgm/ instrumental sounds also not a plus. I learned that the drama was rushed to release from starting date in just 6 months. This would make sense in not having enough time to do better final touch up/post production works. Honestly, had it not been the two main leads cast, I don’t think the drama would have garnered this much views/ media/rating. I’m also not crazy about this scriptwriter, Rao Jun. I was hoping the director would balance out the scriptwriter ‘s lack of adding depth and layer to character skill. I love ZLH & ZJM though.

Having watched ZLH as a softie in My Journey to You yet a toughie in Story of Kunning Palace, he’s perfect as PeiWen Xuan in this drama- a mix of both combined.
