It has been my general experience that when a BL tries to lay a plot as deep, ethereal, and complicated as this…
Oh thank god. FINALLY ... someone expresses what i think. While I don't think Bad Buddy is one of the worst ... Bite Me, Secret Crush On You, Don't Say No, Cutie Pie are cringy awful ... it is so overhyped I was just so confused while watching. Dropped and picked up again multiple times ... all in vain efforts to see what the hype is all about.
Think with BLs especially, many actors are straight, can barely act but are good looking or cute ... and thus given a chance at a role. Many are never seen again. Bad Buddy MLs are good looking and can act ... and thus still out there fan servicing. Another BL practice that is just confounding. May also be dangerous. Some fans are simply unable to accept the line between entertainment and reality. And the actors are not their characters when filming is over.
It is called non-linear storytelling, aka nonlinear narrative. It is a thing. Look it up.
This is a classic example of writers/directors being so impressed with their talents, they forget the audience ... ie, if you can't keep up or stay interested, it's your fault. This, as they lose more viewers each episode.
While their fans get defensive, condescending and insulting ... just because others find this "artsy" pretensions annoying.
Fifteen minutes into Ep 1 and already there's a "Slip-And-Catch" for the 2 boys to look longingly at each other.
There should be a rule against this very old, tired and not remotely romantic trope. Writers who continue to use this cringy trope should be fired for laziness.
UWMA ... P'Dean! Every other sentence ... a real turn off but many people loved the series. Ohm is beautiful but actually came back for Boun, whose presence was riveting. Not so much his love interest.
Looks like this series will also be mainly for the side couple ... Rain and Phayu.
Love him. He and his love interest in The Tuxedo generated some serious heat. And their kisses! They are obviously very comfortable with their sexuality. Can't say the same for most BL actors ... no matter how pretty.
Can anyone share which of his roles are BLs? Lovely Writer and Y Destiny ... but which are the others? Thank you!
Waited over 2 years for that hotter than hot character ... a guy who knew exactly what/who he wanted (not a one-night stand!) and went after him until he won his heart.
Who is this very fair character - all made up and hairstyled to within an inch of his character's life, who seems to have "ungrown" by 5 years?
This role may be good for stretching his acting chops but I'm just a shallow fan who misses the buffed, masculine Pavel of 2M2. Aaaggghhh. Lol.
