Yes, I forgot it was a horror BL after the first ep until like ep 10. It gets so sweet. Show leans more supernatural than horror imo, jumpscares are very sparse besides the first ep, it’s more creepy than scary most of the time.

It deviates heavily from the novel, for the better in my opinion, but the origin story is more or less the same. They’ve fixed the pacing issue though, I think you should wait for it to finish airing to give it a chance, it might be better than you expect.

Forced myself to finish it, and they can thank me for the 5 stars because I was tempted to give it 0 star because of how pissed I am at the Ava storyline. Anyway, acting was nothing amazing but definitely better than their previous series, esp. Nunew has improved decently. However when will they learn that that stupid RPDR S1 vaseline filter they overuse literally hampers their actors’ performances? Zee I know you are a better actor than the material they give you, you seriously need to punch the editor that erases half of your facial features. How can you play a stoic character well when your face is blurred half the time? They set you up, my guy.

Anyway JimmyOhm and NetJJ did well for what little they were given but like they really weren’t needed in this story and often times felt disjointed like they came from different shows. I’d pay to have seen the RamilPaytai show instead of whatever we got. I’d actually have liked to see ZeeNuNew portray that kind of dynamic, or really any different dynamic, instead of reheating their CutiePie nachos.

Is the audio on IQiyi broken or is sounding like they’re underwater for half the dialogue a directing choice? Someone please tell me they fix the audio after the first ep, I wanna watch this so bad but the literal silence in lieu of BG noise and the audible mic distortion is driving me up the wall. Someone tell me if there’s a ver out there with better sound bc I need vampires in my life and I can put up with bad CGI, just not audio pls.
