you know you got k-trauma from writers when you are anxious the entire time watching the final episode π i was so glued to my seat hoping nothing bad happens.. even at the last ten mins, I was still like "what if tvn just decides to throw another twist here and hell breaks loose?"
I'm so so thankful to the writers for not betraying my expectations and gave us a genuine well-rounded fulfilling final episode πβ€οΈ I'm going to miss this drama so much it was so fun waiting for it every week and discussing it with everyone else. This is undoubtedly one of my fav eras ever
What are you guys planning to watch after this drama ends?
bold of you to assume that i will be able to move on so quickly... i will probably just be laying down and cry while listening to sudden shower for a week
in previous eps taesung made a promise to sol that he will protect sunjae when he gets older, and then him in this ep risking his life to protect him... brb i will cry
tbh there's no point explaining to people as these are just typical misogynistic opinions which all the Female…
literally this. people like to deny it but alot of the hate a good female character gets, stems out of misogyny.
when it's male characters in the many many realistic and reasonable scenarios female characters get hate for, I guarantee you rarely anybody complains π
I didnβt really like the whole execution of ep 13. Did the FL travelled to the past of when he first met him?…
The rule of time travelling to the past is that she gets a chance to do it when sunjae dies. At first, he died at midnight, so at that hour she should travel from the present to the past.
However this time, sunjae has died in the "past", the timeline she was living in, so activating the watch means it will take her further back to the past, before those events occured.
So, it took her back to school days and in her POV, she thinks that in order to protect him from his doomed fate, she would pretend to never know him and never see him again.
not the people in this comment section calling the episode "filler until the last scene" π y'all keep forgetting that this drama is literally a romcom like how are u mad at a romcom for doing its job π
TS is one of the best SML in kdramaland I swear.. I always appreciated the fact that he respects the distance between himself and Sol like he doesn't cross any lines or is weird about it. He is so supportive of Sol, even helping her with the killer case and his chemistry with sunjae is also hilarious. I love how he declared him and sunjae as friends in this episode and you could see how he started being clingy with him π
Like imo this is such a healthy portrayal of a SML and I want to see it happen more often in other dramas
I know this is a very unpopular opinion but I want Sunjae to end up being a swimmer by the end of the show. I'm not implying that he dislikes being a singer and as much as I love idol Sunjae, it's still a fact that he had to look for other paths, simply because he just couldn't do swimming anymore. Being a swimmer was his original passion as we have seen in earlier eps; how much he loved competing and how upset he was when he realized he couldn't do it anymore. Even briefly mentioned in one of the eps about how it was also his mother's wish to see him at the top. But because of his shoulders, he couldn't pursue it anymore and had to give it up.
So while this kdrama has murder/sci-fi elements to it, it's still a "healing" kdrama that deals with trauma, fear of loss and the hardships that come with moving forward. So I would actually love to see the writers take a spin on Sunjae's story by not making him end up as a singer or a songwriter or a physical teacher but that he actually gives himself another chance at swimming while having the support of Im Sol by his side.
I felt that this theory of mine would be very unlikely to happen but given the mention of rehab in this episode and how it's seriously possible to go back to swimming even in that wounded state, I'm starting to feel hopeful again. Whether he receives treatment in korea or the states, I would love to see Sunjae chasing whatever makes him truly happy by the end of this story.

kdrama watchers just hate women π₯±
sunsol happy ending is not a want, it's a NEED!
