Anyone else confused as shit? I feel like the story doesn't explain itself well and it feels like I have to be…
Me too I'm usually good at picking up and figuring out confusing plot points, but right now it feels like they're purposely putting in lots of random things without even explaining a milimeter of the characters purpose or connection or reason to be there, to purposely confuse us.
Everything is slowly getting connetcted! But why do so many actors look so similar? Like Shin Jae's mom(ROK and…
You're not alone. I'm also really confused as to who is who sometimes. Also on Lee Lim's side there's too many people around him and too many who have a phone from him that I don't know if we've met them before, if they're important to the main or what?!
I have a feeling that Sin Jae got switch ( maybe by accident) and I think that's why he recognized that flower…
It's so sad that the PM's story has gone down this route. There was so much potential in writing a strong, powerful, inspiring, well educated FEMALE PM (especially after the real female PM of SK got caught up in scandals and negativity), so much potentional to use her for female empowerment and using her as a statement for our real world politics. But the writer just made her a 1D love rival who's now going to go to the dark side and be even more corrupt. This could've said a really powerful statement to Korean people and empowerment for females across the world. Instead the writer has gone down a path that's like a decade outdated.
Why is everyone talking about the comment section here? Is something happening
A blood bath. That's what happening here. So many people dislike the drama including Kfans, and some people producing the drama have caused controversy too.
I'm cringing at how out of place and robotic Tae Eul's 'I love you' was in episode 8. It came out of no where. Didn't sound sincere. And just baffled me. Didn't fit at all. Seriously, this romance needs working on. It's a disaster of no-chemistry.
The King and his Body Guard And The Detective and The Prime Minister Have the most tension, chemistry and potential. It's a shame Korean TV still isn't ready for same sex couples cos these two pairings would improve this show ten fold.
I feel like a disaster-tourist right now, visiting a fandom warzone. Anyway, let me just say something everyone…
I was so hoping for a MM and FF romance between King and Guard, and Detective and Prime Minister. I got the MM vibes from episode one and then the FF vibes in episode 5. Shame Korea TV is still too homophobic to go down this path though. It'd improve the drama so much.
Watched upto and including Episode 5 so beware of spoilers.
I want to get two points off my chest.
1 - I feel like there are too many story lines going on at once. We have this parallel universe, an Uncle revenge suspense mystery, the police catching specific criminals, a romance between the king and the main girl. Then episode five brought KRJP war themes into the drama. I feel like it's trying to be five different genres at once so the overall feel of the drama is weird. Also episode one set up this great mystery revenge crime story and yet we didn't see the uncle for like 3 whole episodes after that.
2 - is it just me or is romance plot just not there. I don't feel any feelings nor development between the two characters yet he was kissing her in episode 3/4 (which btw major redflags and consent issues since epsiode one but that's another topic) and she cried and ran up to and hugged him when she saw him at the end of episode five. And it all feels very displaced. We haven't see any real development between them at all, I don't feel the chemistry, and the hugs and kisses feel like they're coming out of nowhere. The two, possibly three, love triangles going on are eye roll worthy too.
Is it just me??
I am enjoyed the drama but it just doesn't feel cohesive at all.
Oh wow..lucky for you that you've seen it already. Where did you watch it anyways? I've watched some behind the…
I live in japan. I really want to see as much of the making as possible for this before so much work and effort must’ve gone into this! It shines in the movie.
Not gunna lie: I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS!!! Probably the BEST Live Action Adaption I've ever seen come out of a Japanese film company! The production quality in this movie. Even the CGI is above normal Japanese standards! And I cried my heart out the entire last hour! And it ended so perfectly! It does drag in the beginning with all the set up and meeting and explaining characters etc but if you've read the manga then it won't drag for you. And if you don't like political talks and intrigue then you won't enjoy it. But the action and the build up and the acting and the way it looks! OH MY!

And
The Detective and The Prime Minister
Have the most tension, chemistry and potential.
