So my mom says the two leads are married in real life and they just had a son a few days ago. According to the Chinese news. Anyone else hear anything???
I prefer him in period dramas, not so much modern ones. I think he's more suited for wuxia and ancient genres because he pulls of reserved general/martial artist person well.
Different people has different preferences. I feel both present different types of stories and characters. LCR…
Ah, I see. I think I should have liked a documentary better. Alas, I'm not too much into the emotional and love lines of this drama. I should also keep in mind that rescue protocols vary from country to country. In this sense, this is a good glimpse into how rescue is done in China. Very informative.

Perhaps. Although, the first several episodes of YAMH were all about training doctors how to do emergency rescue on the field. I'm not sure what bothers me so much about LCR. It's like they're trying too hard or something, so much that it seems unreal. There's a natural flow to YAMH and a good amount of humor. Most if not all doctors have a sense of humor because without it, they'd all be depressed. Even if it's a mean, sarcastic humor, it's still there as a coping mechanism. There's not much of that in LCR. As one of my attendings once said, Scrubs is much closer to a real ER setting than the drama ER.
I can't help but compare LCR to You Are My Hero. I've seen YAMH twice now and am on episode 5 for LCR. It feels like they're still setting up LCR. Does it get better? Thus far, I much prefer YAMH over LCR.
Why it might take some time for English subtitles?
I don't know...I generally watch dramas on YouTube if they're available there. I know enough Chinese to know when the translation is wrong, and I can't tell if they're auto generated. I use the cc function on Youtube...sometimes the English subtitles are just part of the video, then I know they're done by the parent company. I also watch cdramas on some Australian website, and I think volunteers do their own subtitling there. It tends to be a bit more accurate.
Why it might take some time for English subtitles?
I would imagine someone needs to subtitle it. I find that some dramas are first only subtitled in Chinese, and then a couple of months later someone will subtitle it. Sometimes, the English subtitling is done ahead of time. Auto generated subtitles are rather funny because they are very wrong.
Look... Many times everything can't go with our requirements... I don't think there was any actress who can act…
Perhaps...perhaps not. Most musicians I know can also act well...they are artists after all and a performance requires acting. However, they wouldn't choose to be in a drama. I'm on ep 8 right now and this drama is lovely. I'm glad there's not scrubbing in scenes...perhaps Asian dramas will do those right but American films always botch up a proper scrubbing in. Doctors actually have to take a class on how to scrub in properly...it's serious business.
There should be a general rule where the actor or actress who is supposed to be a very good musician knows something about how to play their character's instrument. Everything is just so...wrong. Is there much cello playing in the drama? If so, I don't think I can watch this...
