Very fun

Overall: I enjoyed it, its engaging and the characters are funny but it can get more serious at times. I would recommend giving this show a watch.

I looked forward to this drama weekly. The acting was good the plot was fun and engaging. I do have a few complaints specifically about the real lack of character growth for the ML he seemed to stay the same the whole time and never fully trusted anyone which I would've loved to see. I'm really glad they didn't do a redemption arc with Seo Myeong Ju she really didn't deserve one. I didn't have an issue with the relationships between Jung Hae Seong and the kids I felt like they didn't ever cross the line of being creepy or anything.

This was boring

Overall this Kdrama was so boring to me. Not only did I feel like the FL and ML lacked chemistry but the plot felt like they were stretching out the main idea. I feel like this drama would've worked better as a 10-12 episode show in comparison to the 16 episodes that it is. I want to talk about the main couple. I had so much hope for these actors because I genuinely think they are very talented but the over reactions felt disingenuous to who their characters are and really took me out of the drama. I am a lover of cheesy dramatic love like Park Hyung Sik typically does but it was too much in this drama. I really didn't love the dynamic where they are fully dependent on each other for their mental health and would've liked to see more growth between both characters that I feel like overall this Kdrama lacked. The plot really annoyed me I wish it wasn't wrapped up so quickly but I really hated how Min Gyeong Min's character was dealt with. I would've liked to have seen Yeo Jeong U dealing with more of the trauma from Min Gyeong Min with MGM. They did do a lot of things well especially with the mental health focus. However I would've loved to see maybe less push for medication as one of the only ways to deal with mental health because that doesn't work for a lot of people. I think that could've made an interesting plot point with one of the characters. I found it especially difficult to get through the last 6 episodes of this drama overall and was looking forward to finishing it in a negative way.

A Clean Finish

This show was a surprise for me. This is my first time ever hearing about this K-drama but I was pleasantly surprised! I think all the actors were great they all had great chemistry together and felt very genuine. I have a few issues with some of the content matter and how it was talked about but I think as a whole with it dealing with religion to me it didn't feel like it was too much or not related to the story or the characters. I thought that this drama had a really solid finish there I think the ending felt a little distant from what happened but is such a small part of the ending it didn't really affect the plot for me. I cried a lot but I think I needed a good cry lol.

Fun Watch

I don't have too much to say about this drama. I just watched it all in one sitting and it was fun. This is a web series so my expectations for production and everything is not the same as a regular drama and I also am not as familiar with C-Dramas as K-dramas but I saw this pop up and thought it would be fun. The only thing that really truly bothered me is that they never gave the main lead an undershirt for his suit. We couldn't afford an undershirt for the wedding fr?? The show is engaging and worth a watch if you are bored and looking to watch cheesy drama unfold!

Overall Solid

This show was interesting in how it portrayed a lot of different aspects of life in more of a nuanced way in comparison to most romance dramas I see. I really enjoyed how the drama wasn't overwhelming and felt like the end for the characters it felt more realistic to me. I think this show had great actors that really shined. I enjoyed myself watching this spilled a few tears because of the father son dynamic between the ML. I also loved how they portrayed jealousy in this drama it felt so well done and really realistic. Overall this was a really solid watch that I enjoyed!

I couldn't even finish this

I think for this Kdrama by no means looking from a critical perspective was it bad (in the sense of acting). However for enjoyment purposes it fell flat I just didn't care about this kdrama by the end to finish it. The actors did such a good job but the story fell flat for me. Also the lazy WLW was really disappointing it felt like there was no real character growth for the characters.

Acting was good but the story was lacking

I did enjoy watching the show I genuinely think that the acting in this the main leads and support roles did a really good job. I really enjoyed the second couple more than the main couple they had such an interesting dynamic that I wish could've gone into more detail. The main couple was cute but I really feel like Baek Su Jeong wasn't a fully thought out character in this drama she was really written to support Ban Ju Yeon which stinks especially for a character who is supposed to be very confident and strong. The grandma plot point was really disappointing and there was no real growth in Ban Ju Yeon relating to his grandmother. I feel like if they wanted to do a grandma redemption arc it should've started earlier. The grandmothers acting felt very forced it really bothered me. I think the best example of there not being growth for Ban Ju Yeon is the last episode not celebrating Baek Su Jeong on her promotion. I wish we would've seen Baek Su Jeong find her hobby and see them share that together instead of it always being about Ban Ju Yeon's hobbies. These are just the biggest problems that stuck out to me I had a fun time watching it and sometimes that is all that really matters.

There is a lot of disconnect in the writing.

Watching buried hearts especially in the first half I really really enjoyed it. I would say around episode 9 the story started to fall flat. Everything the plot had been setting up was exciting intense but didn't fully feel unrealistic.

SPOILERS:

I think my biggest point of contention was how Huh Ildo got a redemption arc. I can't stress enough how frustrated I was when Dongju all of a sudden was chill because he was his father. I know there are emotionally conflicting feelings when someone who tried to literally kill you find out is your dad however, please they did not have a deep enough relationship in the quick few weeks to have changed that. I understand looking out for Taeyun they already had a strong bond hell he literally told Taeyun about Eunnam. Writing it as if Dongju was doing it for Ildo is frustrating and doesn't make sense. Why did they try to make Jungnan all of a sudden good? Like she is a selfish character she is solely looking out for herself and kind of her kids she doesn't need to be good I understand her motives but I am not going to empathize with her.

Eunnam, girl. I think for me it was really hard to understand her actions. She was so flip floppy but showed no fear of commitment so her flip floppiness made no sense to me. I understand her wanting to have a stake in the company but why didn't you give a chance to let Dongju figure it out the grandfather literally sent him to marry you. That felt so stupid to me and what was the point of her asking to not use a condom? Like I thought that something would come of that. Was it just to show that she fully trusted him? I don't think it makes logical sense for them to get back together especially after he got shot there was no romance between them and that is OK!!!! I just like every Kdrama girly wants to see Hyungsik in a romance he's amazing at them buttt this didn't need it and felt disingenuous at the end.

Seo Dongju, his character confused me and there didn't seem like the writing did him justice. I kept getting whiplash from his character the most because there was very little consistency. If he was more relaxed every time he was with his little trio that helped him that would make sense but every scene with them was different and didn't feel true to the previous scenes. I think we needed to see him more relaxed like he was in the beginning with Eunnam with at least one of the characters. While I think Hyungsik did a great job with the more emotional scenes and serious scenes there was a disconnect for me where it felt like he was playing multiple different characters rather than just one.

I hate how they ended this series clearly they are looking to make a season two but with how they went about the last half of the series there is no reason for me to tune in. I have more to say but I think this is a good enough review for the moment.

Wow

This drama made me question how other dramas will be able to compare. The main lead is amazing the way he is able to show emotion and look like the world had beat him down is truly incredible. I watched this with a friend and all we could talk about was how we wanted to protect him in some way. I think the growth between all the characters was really nice to see the action was so well done. I was constantly on the edge of my seat it was that good. I'm very impressed with this and I look foward to the second season.

Best Teen Drama I've seen in years

I never give 10/10s but this show 100% deserves it. I typically don't see this quality of acting, story, and production in Thai BLs that I've watched. This show in the way that it's filmed and set up it feels classic. The shots reminded me a lot of an post WWII Italian movie I watched in my film class. Which isn't super important to my review but I kept thinking about it so I had to share. Along with the classic feel it bring in elements of the modern world. I am obsessed with the way the editing was done. The aesthetics of this show and the clothing are literally to die for and so current with the times without feeling too out of place with the current time. I really loved the story I think the characters were written so well. They felt like people I know, and the way they deal with their emotions makes so much sense to me. While would I do the same? No. I understand at that age it's really hard to understand your full emotions especially when it comes to love. I've found alot of Thai BL dramas dramas don't hit the mark with me especially the jealousy trope they usually have. This show however the jealousy is more realistic and understandable. I loved loved loved the acting in this I thought it was so well done. The characters were so dynamic and the way that social media was portrayed was so realistic which I quite literally never see. The only thing that I don't use as much as they do is Instagram stories lol. Even though this show is more artsy and film like, it's not hard to follow in comparison to A24 films I've watched. I can't say enough how real this show felt. I think this will be hard to beat for other dramas this year. In honor of the gel boys I got my nails done while not as crazy still fun!

What was all the hype for?

Maybe this gets better at the end but this was such a hyped up drama and I can't tell you why. The characters seem so 1 dimensional but in the worst way and the fl literally flips 180 overnight but not in a way that feels natural. The ML and FL seem so awkward and lack chemistry. I gave this a solid try but this drama was not to my liking at all.
