Finished watching, 8.5-rated mature drama with a stellar performance by the lead actor. It was a refreshing reminder of his past works like "Jewel in the Palace" and "Dong Yi" that I enjoyed during my childhood.
and btw he does not hire any woman cause once upon a time some girl broke his heart, booo bro grow up
While everyone has the right to their own opinions, it's a must not to conflate opinions with misinformation. It's not that I'm defending the scene in question, but I can't overlook the flawed reasoning you presented. After all this is merely a fictional drama, and the views or events portrayed onscreen don't necessarily reflect the reality.

It's not because "some girl broke his heart", it's because only girl(his gf) in his start-up betrayed him by sold his hard work and ran away (Don't care about the reasons). Watch the damn thing before complain here.
Who did she end up with? When did they get together?Any breakup or love triangle?Any fight between the four ml
Hey, I suggest you to keep watching, and by the time you're halfway through, you'll probably get a better idea about those questions. My advice is to watch it without any spoilers, because if you know all the surprises and twists beforehand, it kinda ruins the fun, right? Enjoy the show!
The soundtracks of this drama are truly amazing! Out of the total score of 8 out of 10 that I gave this drama, a well-deserved 5 points are attributed to its outstanding OSTs.
still on ep 15, the story is very interesting for me, but I find ML is too flat, his expression is something I…
The character is written to match his background perfectly, and I think it's been done really well. It's still way early, so give it some time. I'm sure you'll end up enjoying the drama once the characters develops further.
The mother is from an older generation. Filial piety is very important in asian society not just in china, so…
Ah, the classic age-old excuse of 'it's just cultural' to justify terrible behavior. You've brilliantly explained the issue with the mother, yet somehow missed the mark yourself. Being from an older generation doesn't excuse emotional abuse entirely, does it?
You're probably right. But I didn't even notice, I just noticed the actor's beauty. (For me it suppressed everything…
I know it's minor details. I don't look more into acting or expect flawless perfection but when I see something like this that say "THIS IS FAKE" into my face, It's hard to hooked on the story. Just my opinion, no hate to the drama or the cast. Take a look at these - https://postimg.cc/gallery/4TVbfKY3
I've noticed that the makeup in this drama seems rather sloppy. There are numerous instances where artificial hair stickers are visibly noticeable, particularly on the male actors. The overall quality is affected by visible stickers, discernible patterns, and mismatched face colors. It's difficult to ignore the numerous issues present.
i think it may be based on history, but im not 100%. perhaps a group of elite people came and rescue the king…
Same here, Even tho I don't like the ending, they nailed it. Yes, all of the cast members including Alen Fang are impeccably suited to their respective roles, and they have truly done justice to each character they portray.
Wow, this drama had me hooked! Cinematography, production quality, acting and storyline were all on point. Not to mention, the fight choreography was absolutely top-notch. The only thing that left me a bit heartbroken was the ending. Having invested so much time in the characters, it felt a bit tough to see them all die one by one. Maybe the writers were going for a super impactful finale? Either way, it's a solid 8.5/10 – definitely worth the watch!
I'm convinced the first time I watched this show that I must've read the subtitles with the sound extremely low…
You're definitely not alone! I couldn't understand how some scenes could have benefited from the dramatic music swells and sound effects they threw in. It felt like they were trying to compensate for something rather than enhance the story. The jarring effects and out-of-place themes took away from the immersion for me.
