Title Renascence Spoiler
I think this dilemma will be explained in the end when all the things are sorted out. (Hopefully). MoXin is in…
If you read the book, it makes perfect sense( Even though, the drama is 360 degrees different from the book. It's like the movie director and screenwriter took bits of the book and tried to mix it together. ) First of all, in the book, Yao Mo Wan dies in the beginning and does not go into coma and Moxin's soul instantly takes over without having amnesia and whatnot. She also is not lovesick for Ye Jun Qing even though she saves him on multiple occasions. She basically only wants revenge (for herself, her baby, her mother)and she wants to repay ye Jun Qing for his sacrifices towards her by making him a king and at first she does not really care about feelings. she is really ruthless with her enemies and a strategist. To be honest, Ye Jun Qing is dependent on her and not the other way around and after she becomes a consort, Ye Jun Qing also lives at her palace . Also, I really don't see much of an action from Ye Jun Qing in the book, but I guess it is different in the drama.

no it's a drama original
Yes, there is a novel adaptation. In case the link below does not work, you just have to google 民国奇探 novel and go to the wenxue. iqiyi site.I think this is the novel adaptation because the story line and the characters are the same, but you have to use the google translate to read the novel.
