It is not about having a different taste. You cannot expect a cat behave like a dog and be disappointed when it doesn't. An action/romance drama should focus on the action as much as the romance if not more. If you are expecting only romance from an action/romance drama, you will be disappointed for sure.

Emotional depth doesn't mean crying in sad scenes and laughing in the happy ones. It means to convey the feeling of holding in because you cannot break in front of your underlings, shedding tears alone because you are suppose to keep the group going, conveying sadness without crying, and letting the audience know how broken you are when you let out a single tear drops. No disrespect, but maybe you are not emotionally mature enough to understand how great Yang Yang is expressing Song Yan's character. If you haven't been a leader and you wouldn't know how hard it is for them to keep it in.

It is weird how people hate on Yang Yang. He avoids romcoms at all costs to prevent people from calling him an actor that gets fame and success because of his good looks. He is always taking on challenging roles. Roles that have character flaws and he delivers perfectly and still people hate him. I first came across him when I started watching you are my glory because of dilraba, and I loved him there. I thought he may be a good actor for rom dramas. Then, I watched glory of special forces and really felt how great his performance is.

I disagree. Remember this is an action romance drama, and the first 25 episodes gave us great rescue and action scenes.

I just have a question for you. Have you read the novel? Song Yan's character has been significantly improved, most likely due to censorship (for example Song Yan is supposed to be smoking and having a mature relationship since being a teenager), and Yang Yang is delivering the character perfectly. Remember, Song Yan is supposed to be a closed off military trained role model who takes his jib seriously yet is in love with Xu Qin. I believe it translate to him not showing his emotions to his coworkers, yet being romantic with Xu Qin. This is exactly how Yang Yang is delivering Song Yan. You can berate an actor because you are not happy with his character. It just shows how brilliant of an actor Yang Yang is for you to believe these are his shortcomings. That's how good he delivered Song Yan for you.

I would never call you a hater. This is an open community and people can discuss their opinions. I believe the hatred and name calling started not because people are not satisfied with any of the support roles (as everybody is delivering their character s perfectly. Here people are mainly fans of the drama and for sure they want to see the leads together, and of course they would get offended when they hear about people shipping Xu Qin with his brother. I understand they are not blood related, but the way they were raised together, just makes me sick to see people shipping them together.

Finally, I became a fan of Yang Yang a long time ago. I became a fan because of how deep he can convey emotions with his eyes. People keep saying he is not a good actor because he is too serious, but the fact is that off camera he is a goofball and all the seriousness which people believe is the "real him", is the acting that he is delivering. And, I have seen a lot of attacks on him for no good reason. Now, that doesn't mean I think nobody should criticize his acting. No, constructive criticism is essential for improvement. Yet, there are people who attack him for no good reason.
