I had rated it higher for the production value and acting but never before has a drama made me so infuriated. Even months later I am still so pissed off and complaining about it. This is a revenge drama but the original Jiang Li did not get her revenge. The calls Xue Fangfei made were selfish and not with Jiang Li's interest in mind. She let people who hurt Jiang Li get off practically scott-free. Sorry but stepmom being "driven to madness" doesn't cut it. She should've died for what she did, or she should've had to remember what she did and live with the consequences of her actions. And the dad was not much better. I get she felt more sympathy towards him after living with him for so much time, but it didn't feel like enough. He enabled what happened to Jiang Li to happen and he should've gotten more than a slap on the wrist.

She didn't even seem to care much about Jiang Li after a certain point. It completely transformed my opinion of her. I started out respecting the hell out of her because of her quick wits and sheer audacity, but by the end I kind of hated her. Every time I think about the hours I spent watching this drama, I get so mad.
