I came across the manga by chance and I have to say.... Thank you script writer-san! Although you pushed the FL down to save the ML, not even Takeru could make such a man child look appealing. But I do mourn for the FL, she had a lot more spine in the manga.
Agree, though I stillI have enjoyed the cases. . For me the FL rankles. She is still so impulsive! She makes snap…
I totally agree with your rant! I think this kind of drama should be watched all in one go so you won't think to much about it, because once you do... It was so gripping at first, but last episode I couldn't wait for it to be over, mostly because of the FL. I can't say I liked her recklessness at first, but it was a good starting point for character development.... Had it happened.
About romance, I think the best ones are the ones happening in the background, where you're free to fill in the details... Unfortunately my dumbass brain can't get hooked in anything but sugary romcom dramas.
Surprisingly funny! Honda Tsubasa is sloooowly getting better? Or maybe some characters are easier for her. The good thing about this one is that I couldn't watch her overacting because I was too busy following the subs, lol
This would be lit if the CP got together smoothly as a background to the plot. Now I'm caring less and less about the cases especially when you need a crazy seconds to force them into a relationship.
I think this is a particularly addictive mix of cringy and cute. The beginning was a bit hard so I went to the manga, and... It's the same story but the characters didn't translate really well to the screen. The FL got dumber and the ML more unreasonable, but it's still sweet, even if it's like cheap-chocolate-sweet.
Up to episode 9 and I'm really liking it so far. Two things, though: the editing seems really amateur to the point where some sound effects constantly take me out of the story and although I get why they'd go for the thriller sort of feel I really, really, REALLY wish they scrapped that and focused on the aftermath of all the cases.
It's obvious that all the conflicts are handled with care, but I'd be awesome to see how the characters build themselves up after the damage is done, cause that is the hardest part of abusive relationships imo. But at the same time I wonder how that would work on screen.
I think people disappointed with this drama were expecting too much of it. It IS a youthful drama after all, with a bit of meta humor which is what attracted most viewers imo. The cast being so young and handsome also adds to its attractiveness (I was drooling at Haru for the longest time). And saying that Dan Oh isn't a good heroine seems a bit mean to me. She's a terminally ill teen who thought she could change her fate only for it to end in her losing the guy she loves. Changing her fate brings harm to other people, so I don't think it's weak of her to give it up and try to live the rest of her days as happy as she can, and that means sticking to Haru and her friends. Of course the writing could be a bit more refined on that part, but I still don't think is as bad as some people make it out to be. But I do agree that they screwed up on Haru, although I can't put my finger on how exactly they did it since he was always bland.
