I'm older too but loved it a lot. I saw a comment in youtube, she said her lawyer daughter recommend this drama to her and she loved it too ,so age is not the issue, it's just a matter of preference.

Different authors so different take on their characters. I love both dramas but Jhiang Zen Han has a complete family. Their life experience are totally different. He did not experience the painful lost of a loved one at a young age. He was not beaten badly by a bad brother in law thus injuring his spine. I think having a loving family even in real life can make a huge difference in one's social behaviour.

Many think that this is a toxic relationship but I dare say it's not!!! Only those who have experienced deep love can understand what real relationship is. The marital vow has beautifully summarized this...in the ups and downs of life you will remain steadfast. Love is a not a mere feeling....it is a choice and a commitment to continually stand beside the person you choose to love.
Others consider the plot a bit makjang but again not for me. I have known and seen people who's life trajectory went more downhill than Li Xun but was able to bounce back and live a meaninful and purposeful life by the grace of God., which propeled people whom they have hurt deeply to forgive and love them unconditionally.
This drama will go down in my all time favorites because of the many lessons in life that I wish many of us will not missed out. Let me share some..

1. Watch over your heart with all diligence for from it flow the springs of life...may our life choices not be driven by hatred and negativity.
2. Hatred stirs up strife but love covers a multitude of sin and mistakes
3. He who pursues evil will bring about his own downfall
4. Pride comes before destructiom...let us accept our own limitations.
5. Death and life is in the power of the tongue...let's avoid wounding words

I can go on with my list, they are too many to mention but let me just stop here. Let me end by saying I enjoy reading your comments and to those who loved this drama...I share your joy!!!

Kudos to the main leads for making this drama so realistic likewise to the director and screen writer. To CFY, great job!!! only a handful can successfully portray their role and convey their feelings to the viewers with subtle acting performance!!!

yes, pls recommend something like this. Forever Love is a bit similar but lighter than this.

I love everything you wrote. You are a mature and intelligent viewer. I have only seen CFY in My Best Summer and I can say his a good actor. He is sooo good in subtle acting, he can communicate with his eyes extremely well. Given his age, I think he will become even better in the future.

I'm not surprised why FSM fell for LX, at 18 you normally fell for good looking guys more so if he is super intelligent and super hard to get. When I was her age, I can't remember having a crush on super nice guys haha in fact I know nothing about them except for their pretty faces. Most teens live for the moment, when you get older then your preferences changed because you start living with your future in mind.

I just wish that they will all be given a chance to shine in a good drama. like Xiang Hanxi and others. Those under good management are always given the good roles, though they are good actors but still I want to see other or new faces too

He is a great actor. He did a great job too in My Best Summer

The hospital talk with Tian Xiu Zhu confirms to him that there is nothing romantic between Tian and Zhu Yun , contrary to what Ren Di said and what he thinks.... that she was living with Tian

I don't think he plans to reject her totally because he loves her so much. He is keeping her at a safe distance. He always thought of her as his princess, fragile, someone who needs to be protected . Gao knows he is Li Xun's weakness. Gao will never win against Li Xun head on that is why he needs to target Zhu Yun for him to win.

Try Forever Love.

A beautifully executed push and pull relationship... driven from a deep love for one another. Hands down this is one of the best dramas I've seen in a while. Kudos to the main leads for bringing to life their character. I miss this kind of feeling when watching films, which has become rare nowadays because sometimes I tend to be too engrossed with the actors rather than the characters.

Forever Love gives me a similar vibe but it's much lighter.

My oh my...this drama is so good that I'm seriously considering paying YOUKU just so I can watch the last 4 episodes.

I think so. I guess we'll get another one tomorrow ?? and one each on Monday and Tuesday? Not sure though about tomorrow
