Well, that was some ending, although not unexpected to be honest considering how everything played out in favor for New. He was a true mastermind psychopath and I have to give kudos to his well-made plan. Drug induced halogenic personal hell's where the only escape is death itself. Nice. Anyway, to get over my heartbreak about White I'll just have to re-watch Don't Touch My Gang again to see Fuaiz happy. He might also not get his man in that as well, but at least he is happy and Arty is arguably better looking than Tee.
Five theories about who the heck is White? 1. Innocent bystander 2. Related to Mr. Keng, either an undercover journalist or relative or cult member 3. Someone who wants revenge on Tee's uncle and is playing the long game. 4. Non post plastic surgery, who unknowingly falls in love with Tee who was his savior. 5. An accomplice of Tan/New and Phee and in on the whole charade.
However, I have some questions cause White also gets hallucinations so why if he was an accomplice would he be drugged also? and more who the heck was it that felt Tee up when he was making out with White on the balcony in the first episode. Cause why would Tan or Phee have any need. Or was that a hallucination. It's been bugging me that scene.
That's one way to calm down the captain. Finally First and Sprite are getting more screentime together and things are moving along, First is still very confused with Zee's personality and talent transplant but his walls have started to crack, whilst Sprite still hasn't realised his feelings so the fact these two are on completely different pages makes sense. But I'm thinking next week there be like a moment of 'damn' between them both. Also still not sure how this switcharoo with Zee works, or they like just going to take over the others life for the rest of time.
Pavel is playing such a conflicted, emotionally scarred character so well in this.
Like how they are subtly letting on the other "children's" powers and with Pete introduced we now have all our characters introduced and ready to be paired up. Interested to see how much time each is given, as Charlie and Babe as the main but Way and Winner need some love as well. Not sure if Dean will jump team or its will be a star-crossed lovers in rival teams. And Way has a sexy, rich man. Also love Jeff and Alan, do wonder if what Jeff saw was him sleeping with the uncle.
Okay to Porsche is the most unhinged in the friendship group, although probably false bravo. Captain is an A-hole cause of the filming and profiteering from his friends sex tapes. Hopefully his storyline gets moving soon. Soy is just trying to live his best life and show Teena a world without sex. Whilst First is filling a void with sex which makes him an easy target. And finally Nont is playing a dangerous game with trying to find the truth.
Hope they explore the special capabilities of the characters in this universe. Okay so we might not get the whole lore of the novel, but most of the storylines can be adapted. Tony aka adopted father still wants Babe cause of his skills, Charlie is still a double agent working for Tony and trying to protect Babe from Way. Jeff is in cahoots with Charlie to help him.
I loved this film. No spoilers, cause this is a film that must be enjoyed on first viewing. But can say its a masterclass essay on human emotion and young love that is both poetic and tragic at the same time.
