well it's an anime thing, that mostly boys get nose bleeds if they see a hot girl. they just adapted it for funsies in this show

so i just saw the first 6 Episodes of the anime and the kissing scene was very similar in the anime as in this adaption. Actually besides of the kiss while Izumi is sleeping, there's no sexual assult in the anime yet. Even if Izumi said Ryouma can "go for it", because "it doesn't matter anymore what happens to him" after Izumi got rejected from the Manga Competition, it's uncomfortable to watch but it's not that worse i would say, because Ryouma stops pretty soon, as he notices that Izumi isn't okay with it.
