You're right! You're absolutely right, But the point is Shu Yi BELIEVES his father found out about Shi De only…
I think in ep 6 of season 1, you see that Shu Yi's dad is told by a subordinate that "the young master seems to be in love" - so he knew it from the start!
I haven't watched the last episode, only seen stills of it from tumblr, but users there who have watched it have…
wait, I just read that you have to watch a special ep of 7 min (it costs 2 dollars) to get the HE O_O - but I guess the good news is, there's a HE at the end of it!
I haven't watched the last episode, only seen stills of it from tumblr, but users there who have watched it have…
I was the same! I couldn't watch WoH all weekend (even if I really wanted to, I even purchased the youku subsciption) because my levels of anxiety were maxed out, lol! Now I feel like I can breathe again! ;)
i won't be able to watch yet for 12 hrs (i've never been this nervous before). i'm gonna try to avoid actual spoilers.but…
I haven't watched the last episode, only seen stills of it from tumblr, but users there who have watched it have confirmed the HE <3<3 EDIT: it seems the HE is at the end of a special episode of 7 minutes, so if at the end of ep 36 you are crying, just know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Perhaps, I need to go over again the novel chapters because I couldn't recall the characters of Four Sages of…
I have yet to read Faraway Wanderers, but it's a relatively short story, while WoH is a 36 episodes drama - if you don't remember them, they have been probably been added to the story. And their addition made me cry!
I just want to pop here really quick to say... the acting is really good!?!? I mean, especially good in this episode. I'm watching the beginning of ep 5 right now, and I'm totally sold on Shi De being heartbroken but trying to be fair and kind and downplaying his feelings! This series is so good...
This is honestly so sad. There needs to be more support for everyone working in the entertainment industry. This…
^ this. How many artists (and so many of them Korean!) have committed suicide in past few years? How many more will, before a serious and honest discussion is initiated about it? Every time it is so heartbreaking.
I was a bit surprised by Earth's action last episode, and I absolutely don't discount the idea that the writers simply didn't know how to keep the drama going on in a realistic way, and I also may be reading too much into it (is this triple disclaimer enough? probably!) , but... to me, Earth seemed awfully defensive in this episode, both when speaking to Boom (he popped off like he was the cork of a shaken prosecco bottle) and when speaking to Stud in the gym. When he was speaking to Stud he seemed very confrontational, like he was goading Stud to admit that no, of course he (Stud) didn't have feeling for him (Earth), or else. In short, Earth - to me - seems like someone who has reached a limit - how he wants to appear to the world (you know, the most "moral, ethic" person in their circle of friends), what he perceives as "the perfect relationship", and the life everyone seems to think it's perfect for him are maybe not what he really is/wants/needs... and now that the show has 3 more episodes, maybe - MAYBE - they will make something believable out of it! I mean, this show really loves to depict incredibly messy relationships, and I understand that it isn't everyone's cup of tea - but I'm loving it!
P'Sam, about the house he bought with Pop: " I completely forgot about this" ... Yeah, P'Sam, who wouldn't forget about something as measly as a house in their name?!?! I know I have 4 or 5, I can't really remember all of them!! ??? ???
I also find the supposedly-funny-friends completely unfunny... But overall I'm liking this drama so far. The only…
I usually like reading the original source of an adaptation too! Knowing the story as it is written can really give depth to the characters and the plot on the screen... I simply wasn't aware of its existence this time, otherwise I would have searched for it. From the comments I've read here though I suspect it's easier to like this drama if you watch it starting from a blank slate. And the character of HwaHwa does seem to be more stereotypical than real at this point, so I don't doubt that they aren't treating it (the character) well... that's a shame.
Just watched ep2, the flow is a bit better than ep1 although the continuous jump from one clown music to another…
I also find the supposedly-funny-friends completely unfunny... But overall I'm liking this drama so far. The only regret is that one episode a week is way too little! Anyway - here's how I interpreted the situation between Tutor and Fighter (I didn't read the original book, so I can only speculate based on what I've seen, and I think one of the reasons I'm enjoying this drama is that I approached it completely unprepared): last episode we saw how they met, and at first there was this very Sotus-like vibe with the hazing and the animosity between the two of them, but then a couple of scenes seemed to indicate that the two of them became closer, almost friendly (and you know that little boys that are unable to express their feelings tend to bully the object of their desire...). It seemed to me like they were flirting, Tutor expected to become even closer to Fighter and was completely thrown off by Fighter's decision of dating HwaHwa (decision taken... I don't know why), so he has now become conflicted. He has feeling for the guy his best friend, HwaHwa, loves - a guy he thought had feelings for him too. So Tutor's sulking and his being unwilling to be in Fighter's company is similar to when the boy/girl you have a crush on and with whom you were flirting starts to surprisingly date your best friend, even if there's obviously still a lot of attraction between the two of you - you end up feeling wronged, feeling angry, feeling guilty and even feeling worried about your best friend - and from this volatile mix of emotions stems Tutor's attitude towards Fighter. Does it make sense? Obviously this would mean that Tutor is aware of his feeling towards Fighter, and I think he is. I believe him when he says that he's not interested in HwaHwa "that way"... As I said, I don't know the story that was adapted here, so I don't have any expectations on how the various relationships should be shown.
I think I agree with you that LZ showed his love much more explicitly on screen than WY, but I think this was…
I agree! LZ has known for a long time about his feeling for WY and it clearly shows. For WY this is a new development (well, kind of. His realization is new, I think). Also, WY never says anything when JC is berating/disparaging/hating on him, he just accept everything, but as soon as JC verbally attacks LZ - that's when WY almost starts a fight with him, and only being in the ancestors' hall in Lotus Pier stops him (ep46 - so many feelings ;_;).
Yes, he is waaaay smarter then everyone ever expected. But - I'm kinda mad with him because of how he used Xi…
Yes, you are right. I was too focused on LXC (how conflicted must he have been, hurt by JGY' betrayal but still caring for him) to think about NHS's feelings. See? That's one one the reasons I love MDZS so much. You can really emphasize with almost everyone in this story. It hurts soo good ????.
reason why Jin Guang Yao is the way he is all bec. of bad parenting, I kind of feel sorry for him, abuse all through…
The dimple monster! I feel so bad for him too, his story was especially sad. What he did was horrible, but what was to done to him was equally awful. That's just one of the reason I really like MDZS (and this adaptation) - who gets to decide what's right and what's wrong?
Nie Huaisang is truly the MVP of the series. He outsold, outdone, outacted, outsmarted, outlived and indirectly…
Yes, he is waaaay smarter then everyone ever expected. But - I'm kinda mad with him because of how he used Xi Chen, who is forever traumatized by having been the one to kill JGY (especially because LXC isn't stupid and knows something is up with NH). LXC is such a caring and pure character, I can't help but feel that he was greatly betrayed by NH, and it really doesn't sit well.
The Yi City arc hasn't finished yet. But based on what I've seen, they will most likely screwed this beautiful…
I can't imagine giving up this drama, it's just so so so much better than I expected it to be (yes, it is censored, but the romance is there nevertheless, and it's a thing of beauty). I understand your hesitation, but WWX's fate in the past is really not clear - more than once he has said things along the lines of "I've already died once" "dying once was enough", etc., so as far as I'm concerned he died in this version too. Maybe it will be addressed later in the drama, when things got revealed,
When WWX gets resurrected into Mo Xuanyu’s body, does that mean he now has a golden core? Since it is in MXY’s…
It's not really clear in the novel either AFAIK, but maybe I just didn't pay enough attention at the beginning of the story (also, to be fair, I read that part some time ago); still, I seem to remember that MXY had very limited capacities as a cultivator, so limited that he was considered useless. It stands to reason then that if in his new freely-offered body WWX has a new golden core, it's not a "useful" (read, "powerful") one, hence his using again the techniques that everybody abhors
EDIT: it seems the HE is at the end of a special episode of 7 minutes, so if at the end of ep 36 you are crying, just know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
