found this unexpectedly during my tiktok scrolling. i can't stop watching and searching for the full version because the story got me interested. it's kinda cringe how she always ended up being helped by men (but i like cringe dramas lol). it has a good lesson tbh that we should not take anything that is not ours.
this drama has every kind of story that i like: romance, women empowerment, friendships, found family, politics, and star-crossed lover :] got bored at the first few episodes because i am not really into dynasty settings drama like this, then i thought it's only some kind of stockholm syndrome drama BUT IT'S MORE THAN THAT!!! throughout the plot, it gives me the feeling of second lead syndrome, good boy goes to heaven but bad boy brings heaven to you, we'll find our equal partner. :") i hope the emperor & law in everywhere could be like in this drama, we need more zhang jinran for justice!! and i love how the women characters are all bound to get a grip of themselves, they grow, they know their values, they can rule the world. :3 the missing 1 point is for some questionable scenes: how zhang ended up in a ship with black dragon bandits' stolen deeds, how zijing gets away with every threatenings & wrongdoings (like poisoning) he made.
back again in an episode where i watch a drama because i got hypnotized by the female lead's visual. :D it gets me every time when pei said "if she lies, i'll make her lie a reality," and "staying by my side means you'll get all my privileges." i'm such a sucker for dramas where the male lead is willing to bet and give everything for their girl!
watched a glimpse of the episode from tiktok and i thought it would be some kind of revenge or punishing-those-at-faults-who-never-got-punished continual series, but i was not right at all, it's a drabble (idk what is it called in film/series term). the first episode was okay, but then in the rest of episodes the main character is just ruining the other characters' life and friendships then disappears instead of showcasing us the truth behind those school life
