Hey, that’s me! This drama has been confirmed not to have a romantic love line. There is, however, bromance…
If they wanted to "display the chivalrous spirit of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism". Then why have they chosen to adapt from a petty novel you too call it absurd? Why they have chosen an unknown writer? Why didn't they use original screen play or the biography of a famous philosopher who founded these beliefs?

Doesn't China have enough literature about these themes? Then why this novel? Don't they root back to millennia?

Why have they chosen fiction? I'm sure you have seen the amount of CGI they have put in there, Is that supposed to be taken seriously while it's all the imagination of someone?

Why have they chosen someone as the main lead while he has not won any true awards?

And last of all, do you know what Cthulhu means? Its typical genres? Did you feel fear of the unknown in this drama? Did you feel the presence of supernatural alien-like creatures beyond this world?
Who's doing misleading information here? Who's focusing on the non-existent aspect of the drama?

He has his phone with himself all the time?
Who are they fooling?
I think they have made an unlikely discovery in the area of physics, that's why they're doing that!

There your friend claims that they're not showing the point of the drama, it may all be a trick from the production team. And here you are saying this. Don't you see they are hiding something? And saying that his relationship with Liu Yan is the course of the story?

If the trailer shows the story to you, then how come when I mention scenes about Ah Shui, you say it doesn't get considered anything but it does with Liu Yan?
And what happened to no BL? You do know the meaning of flirt, right? You see what people are trying to imagine in an all male environment? And what I meant by normal friendships?

That's rich coming from you. You better not be the one who says this. You don't read a comment well and start…
If it is nonsense WHY do you read it at all? If it is nonsense why do you answer it?
If it is nonsense why don't you bring logical proof, instead you denounce it.
If it is nonsense why do you get offended by it to the point you're almost stopping yourself to swear at the person? Isn't all proof that you can't bring a reason and instead start rambling about how great is it? Doesn't it show your great interest in the world that it got you blind. So in your dream you can't bear anything against it.

How come when someone mentions f&m relationships you see your duty to stop the flow of misleading information but you don't so when some mentions BL or m/m relationships? You don't even say anything. Don't you consider that nonsense too? You might claim different but both sides focus on the romantic side in other words romance. Isn't it absolute dichotomy?

Hey, that’s me! This drama has been confirmed not to have a romantic love line. There is, however, bromance…
With all due respect, you just dodged my questions. And all the reasons you mentioned is based on the novel.
Friendship can have many levels. They accepted each other as sect brothers. As having a brother, what do you do when he's about to die? You try to cure him. And when he's dead? You try to avenge him. Similar things exists between soldiers, family members, comrades, etc. The reason that you can care about a person like that can be their attitudes, behaviors that inspires you. Tang Lici is like that in the novel because he's trying to prove something, to change. How well do you know that the drama will keep the heart in the belly in the absence of modern medicine? How do you know it will be the course of story? Tang Lici's story from saving Fang Zhou might drift to something else. He can also use another way to return him alive. How can you put the contents of novel in the drama, and address it as how the drama will be like? From a supposedly leaked script? How do you know they didn't alter it?
Anyway the point is, it's not just Fang Zhou with you is it? You also mentioned Liu Yan on other comments. Liu Yan's importance to the story was only in the beginning of the novel, his importance started to fade later on. It's something similar here, he'll involve him, but he too will lose his key role in the story since the man in the shadow is somebody else, the antagonist might be a thing, we don't know. BUT he's major interactions won't be with Liu Yan or Fang Zhou, isn't he doing it to save the Jianghu, the people of the world? Isn't he supposed to get sacrificed, How do you know it's because of saving Fang Zhou? just because novel did it?
It was said in the trailer 'for fighting a monster you turned yourself into a monster'. Who is that monster? There's no point in discussing what might be and what might not.

My question is that the amount of care Tang Lici does for Fang Zhou as his brother, is not something unknown to this world. It can all be contracted to the word 'friendship'. Can't you say chemistry between friends? What do you insist on using the word bromance, if they mean the same why use it? Or no you want to explain it to me. FYI bromance consists of 'bro' and 'romance'. Can you claim it's meaning is not what it's name suggest? they why did you name it like that? If they were girls would you call them similar too? Why we need to create exceptional words between simple female and male friendships. Isn't a cover? A step?

Why do you insist there is no romance in the drama even with existence of those scenes I mentioned? I don't say it'll be romance, but they can start off with little episodes. How will it end that's something neither you or me know, unless you're part of the crew. Are you?
There is dichotomy in your words, you clearly reject the chance of possible romance between them, but you bold Fang Zhou's role just based on something that WAS in the novel? Do you just see Tang Lici's interactions only with his sect brother? It's like you want to get somewhere by bringing his sect brothers. Do see that the only reason Tang Lici will sacrifice himself as an insensitive creature?

A drama can have the main lead married to a woman but with little focus on them and mostly on the adventure of the hero, whatever it might be. Take Immortal Renegade for an example, the story solely focuses on Wang Lin. He falls in love with a woman but still we see her for like 20 episodes in the span of 80, and it's neither the focus. Plenty of time is given to Wang Lin and his adventures. Would you call the genre romance? No, still we see a romantic relationship.

In the end, I didn't say its genre will be romantic. And I'm not her fan to help you. Don't bother your head and don't use it as an excuse to clarify the reason I'm watching the drama. How do you know what is it? In fact I'm a fan of no romance, but trailers obviously shows links as minor as it can be? What is your proof really? What reason do you have?
it's really weird how you just avoid it but you're totally alright with using it for males.

I would like you to enlighten me about some specific scenes here, released officially since you know what the drama will confirm.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdhZVlp_1m8&pp=0gcJCfwAo7VqN5tD

Do explain the point of these scenes: 1:09. 1:35. 2:14

https://weibo.com/7877145645/PrTGO5WZV

Also: 00:49

Since the number of female characters are limited, they are unlikely to play key figures in the story. How come Tang Lici only uses women to his advantage? He doesn't try to misuse powerful male characters in the jianghu that are usually stupid? like sect masters? If he's supposed to do that at all.

The scenes I mentioned can be interpreted to what you're trying to say "using women to his own advantage" or something totally different. It can all be a play of Tang Lici's part. But have you seen Tang Lici's face in these scenes? Does he seem all cunning and scheming? cold face? Are you saying it's all lies?
These scenes doesn't suggest he loves her for you, but just having male characters indicate bromance? Who is connecting the drama to romance? Based on what evidence do you suggest he's merely using her. and we're talking about HER. What importance she has to the story? you said it yourself that other female characters play more important.

Just because he has interaction with male companions in the story, we'll have bromance? In an all male environment, you cannot imagine something else? romance needs to be 100% here even with males? Not a normal friendship between sect brothers can't exist but bromance? Emotional entanglements cannot be translated to romance but mere interactions can? Can novel be compared with the drama? It's simply an adaption nothing is certain. And that is your reason? Just because the writer did not include, they won't either? If they cared about the writer, filming wouldn't start after the novel still unfinished.

Isn't there ambiguity in your own speech? that can get rejected based on you're own words.

It seems to be based on historical events than a novel, right? What is the reason of censorship really? can't…
From the trailers I've seen. It was pretty accurate, maybe they changed the ending a little bit and more centered on Murong Chong, thing he didn't do in reality might be done in the movie by him. Murong Chong's brother didn't seem to have any role either.

It also seems Murong Chong wasn't willing either, anyway his life was sad and weird.

The reasons are logical, it affects life styles, But why they make this kind of movie in the first place? and torture us like this. They through money away with making garbage romance C-dramas too, that can be used to help people.

I have seen some C-dramas, some of them good but the feeling I got after reading a little bit about Murong Chong (even if Wikipedia' page wasn't thorough) was a distinguished feeling. One fiction can never create, especially romance.
I hope they make more movies and dramas like this that is taken from real history or literature instead of rubbish novels and comics.
