Title Coroner's Diary Spoiler
Yan Li's father was an imposter, therefore Yan Li has no rights to the throne. The youngest and the only living…
What do you mean by the writer not giving Yan Li a scene and position? Yan Li did become Prince Yi and that was never taken back. Also, compared to Yan Chi, Yan Li didn't have many achievements. It would make sense for Yan Chi to become the regent Emperor instead of Yan Li, who has no interest in politics or being the Emperor.

You got it wrong. Both Yan Li and Yan Sui are the biological sons of Yan Han, the imposter Emperor. Remember that the real emperor died around the time that Yan Li's mother was pregnant with him so Yan Sui is the biological son of Yan Han. In lieu of there being no Emperor, the Empress Dowager decreed that Yan Sui would be the next Emperor. As for why Yan Li didn't become Emperor was simply because he was not interested. Yan Li personally says he has not interest due to the restrictive lifestyle of the Emperor. As for the original commentator, Yan Li was never crown prince. He might have become the crown prince if the rebellion didn't happen when it did.

So crazy that some of you will hate on Yeomhwa (for good reason), but will let Bongsu being an evil spirit pass. Both of them participated in evil things and both have a sad backstory but some of you will give a pass to the man and not the woman....

It’s such a shame that Wei Shao would abandoned his revenge plan just for a girl. If only they made him kill…
Why should the FL's family, who had nothing to do with the betrayal, have to suffer? Her grandfather, father, and uncle are to blame. She knows that what her grandfather did was horrible and is trying to redeem her family in his place.

"It’s not fair that he gets half of his family wiped out and the FL still has hers intact!!!!" Try making a better argument than this cause this shows that you lack total sympathy for other people (even tho this is fictional). Suck it up, life isn't fair.

I wish the answer was that simple. A few cases I read about true crime make me believe it bit more complicated…
You stated this perfectly! I wish more people took the time to understand on why characters do certain things in kdramas
