Something is missing, I don't know what it is,I felt the same way when I was watching A Korean Odysseythe story…
Felt the same here too. The show started out so strong with the pilot episode but then it just seemed to get into a black hole with the plot seemingly going nowhere in the middle. I think IU's visuals and fashion was truly the only reason I managed to sit through all the episodes lol
I had a hard time watching the female lead it seem like she was intimidated. Just from my view, I would say that…
I share the same sentiments. You might be spot on that she seemed a little out of her depth, because the other two hosts seemed really experienced in the food industry. While Ham Yeon-ji was pleasant to watch, it felt like she wasn't really adding much to the show apart from her cutesy factor.
On the other hand though, Heo Young-man's constant emphasis on his nobility/ how he came from noble roots was annoying. His co-hosts were so good natured to still humour him, kudos to the lady owner at the bean sprouts gukbap place who told him to just 'do as Romans do when in Rome'! Ha.
Does anyone else think that what Bai Lin did to her roommate was just mean and awful?
I'm only halfway through the series and already at this point where I'm skipping past ALL of the Bai Lin scenes. She's unbearably annoying, and sad to say I can't find many redeeming factors about her character!
Instead of X minutes of He Ju crying like a Magdalena, they could have explained how did Se Ju was able to live…
And in addition to food/shelter, also makes me wonder how he worked out his gun injury while he was in his "instance dungeon"... or how he managed to get out of his instance dungeon (wouldn't he have materialised at the train platform out of nowhere?)
Soooo many questions, but none answered by the show. Instead, writer-nim and the producer decided they'd rather have screentime of Go Yu-ra and Soojin in the last ep, two of the most useless females in the show...
I generally think ZLY is okay in dramas, occasionally she has good chemistry with her male leads (Hans Zhang, William Chan) buttt... I just cannot ship her and FSF in this drama. I think it's partially due to the hair/makeup, because he looks so visibly older than her in this drama ;__;
I really want to love this drama so much (because I think Hyun Bin and PSH can be amazing in their work), but... we are already 8 episodes in and I really don't foresee how Writer-nim is going to get him/herself out of this drama without having any glaring plot holes.
How are they going to explain where Se-ju has been for this past year? If he existed solely in the game realm (i.e. died in reality), where is his body? If Se-ju was in hiding in reality, how has he been getting by without spending any money or leaving a financial/digital trail?
I also hope the second wife/ex-wife will contribute something to the story, otherwise her role and screen time…
Oh god I keep hoping for the Yu Ra character to be killed off quickly. She's just annoying and not adding any value whatsoever to the plot at the moment, apart from being a contrast to PSH's character and showing PSH's virtues
If people don't believe he's still seeing that dead guy, can't he or his secretary just put on the lens and connect…
Exactly what I was thinking... plus, if Jin-woo can still see Dr. Cha without his lenses, it makes me wonder if his secretary is also able to also see Dr. Cha without his lenses on? Plus, even with their lenses on, they can still prove they're not crazy by showing the gameplay since within the game Dr. Cha is indeed a recurrent NPC like the secretary has also experienced, so I don't understand the lapse in (plot) logic here.
Wouldn't that make for a more convincing argument (esp to J One Holdings' stakeholders) to delay the game launch by showing them the actual glitch, rather than based on pure faith alone?
What type of sad ending? good or bad? can you spoil for me? ^^
Ning Yi lives on to fulfill his duties as king (he successfully ascends the throne).
I interpreted the ending as such: Feng Wei chose to die because she was so burdened from her circumstances, and she knew that there wasn't a path forward that she was willing to take. If she chose Ning Yi, she would have to forsake all the people from her dynasty. Ning Yi would also be politically challenged by his officials for choosing a royalty from his previous dynasty as his Queen. If she chose her people, they would pressure her to bring Ning Yi down to restore her dynasty.
Only by dying she could free her people from the pressure/dreams of restoring their old dynasty, prevent more from sacrificing themselves on her behalf (to protect a princess), and importantly, also free herself from a sad fate - a fate where no matter what decision she made, she would live in endless guilt and agony.
i just read people´s comment, and i feel discouraged to watch this drama with a sad ending. can anyone suggest…
To go a bit off tangent (off the c-drama world), Jumong is an excellent historical drama with a happy ending. Also agree with Moochi's rec of Nirvana in Fire!
The ending seems fitting because FZW is a woman of her word: she made the same vow on the graves of her loved…
My sentiments as well. I'm not a fan of sad endings but as I watched on, going by the way the storyline developed, there was really no way our OTP could've ended up happily together unless they were in their own vacuum. Zhi Wei would never be able to put herself selfishly above others and love Ning Yi despite all that had gone down between them.
Can someone who understand chinese what did zhi wei swear on her Mother grave and what did she tell ning yi when…
She swore on her mother's grave/soul that she would never marry Ning Yi, lest her mother's soul would never find peace. It's the same promise her mother made her swear in the early few eps of the drama.
Is it worth it for watch it not? After reading comments I am confused
It's worth watching if you are itching for a fluffy romcom with good-looking leads, but be prepared for some drag halfway through the drama. Also, if you have watched the other MG remakes, it's worth noting that there's some deviation from the original plot, though the overall storyline remains the same.

A fitting ending to this great drama indeed.
