You are Sunoh-Jojo shipper, right? I'm a Hyeyoung supporter but I do understand your point and that's how I felt, too. It was very disappointing that the season 2 was not as impactful as the season 1. I like Hyeyoung, but I felt bad that his relationship development with Jojo felt rushed. The timeline was messed up, especially the last part of s1 not connecting to the beginning of s2. It could have been better.
TRY PUTTING YOURSELF IN JOJO'S SHOES NOT ONLY IN SUN-OH'S.Both Jojo and Sunoh were red flags, them together would…
Hyeyoung respected both Sun-oh and Jojo. When Sun-oh and Jojo were together, he stayed away and respected their relationship (even though he knew that Sun-oh knew he first liked Jojo). When Jojo was long single (it took LONG that she was single, but the drama failed to portray that), that's the time Hyeyoung made a move. He even opened that up to Sun-oh. He had the right to do so since Jojo was not in a relationship plus he liked her for a very long time already.
I understand Sun-oh's frustrations, but, he should still have respected Jojo and Hyeyoung's relationship like how Hyeyoung did before. But what did he do? He was in a relationship with Yuk-jo and yet he was forcing Jojo to love him again and kissed her twice without her permission (knowing that she was already dating Hyeyoung). Well, he did that before they dated too, right? Kissing a friend's crush. Why did you all fail to see that?
I love Song Kang, but Sun-oh shippers can never make me like Sun-oh. I feel bad for him, ofc, but I did not once like him. He was so full of himself. Aside from Jojo, I hate his character the most.
Though I admit, this drama does not deserve a very high rating. I'd give it 7 or 6.5/10. Season 2 was a mess, the production did not do well in executing the events and the timeline. The actors' chemistry (Garam and So Hyun) was not impactful. But rating it 4 or 3 or even below is not reasonable. The storyline makes a lot of sense and has a lot of meaningful lessons from it.
The webtoon is so good. It is 9/10 for me. The webtoon is loved by many readers and I'm one of them.
I like Garam too, but if there's another actor who could fit Hyeyoung's role and has immense chemistry with So Hyun, for sure ppl would go crazy about Hyeyoung getting the girl.
TRY PUTTING YOURSELF IN JOJO'S SHOES NOT ONLY IN SUN-OH'S.
Both Jojo and Sunoh were red flags, them together would never make it to the end. While Hyeyoung and Yukjo were green flags who love others without asking in return. Therefore, the latter two could balance the former two.
Jojo was a red flag for being tight-lipped and dumping Sunoh without explanation. She was also tight-lipped with Hyeyoung, too. This is why I felt like she did not deserve any of the two. BUT... we need to understand her situation (as I was saying, try putting yourself in her shoes). She had a traumatic past, was bullied, an orphan, an outcast both at home and school, and was betrayed by her only friend. She had trust issues and could not just be open to others, even for Sunoh. Ppl with mental health like that have behavior issues like Jojo. If there is one who was more selfish in this series is Sun-oh himself, but Song Kang x Kim So Hyun shippers failed to see that.
This drama/ webtoon is more than just a love triangle, it is a story of a broken girl overcoming herself in order to be honest and love completely. It is also about the negative impact of technology on our society, this is about organic feelings vs. technology-based feelings.
It seemed that Jojo never cared for anyone's feelings but her own. Everything she did and did not do was so SHE…
And that's the point of the story: the love alarm app will never make you genuinely know if someone loves you or if you love someone. You yourself know and can determine it (decision making), thus why the spear was created = to make a decision.
Jojo rang Hyeyoung's app with and without the spear. The lesson is that Jojo was able to fall in love with Hyeyoung genuinely and found it out by herself without the help of technology.
This is what most viewers don't understand. But I'm telling you, the webtoon is loved by many readers bcoz it was easier to accept why it's Hyeyoung. This drama just ruined the webtoon. The execution sucked, and Jojo's demeanor here is different from the webtoon (Jojo from the webtoon is way livelier and not so annoying).
I understand where you are coming from but in this situation I feel like she did not even try... You said she…
" like having a friend and all of a sudden that person just cuts you off no word" T___________T This just reminds me of a friend of mine (a very close one and we lived in the same roof) who suddenly just stopped talking with me and treated me like I didn't exist in the house. I decided to leave her without knowing her issues with me. What I knew from others was that she was in depression.
I understand where you are coming from but in this situation I feel like she did not even try... You said she…
You forgot that Jojo had a traumatic past. People like that always find it hard to communicate and open up to others. I've met tons of them, and they are truly hard to understand. I feel like they don't even try to help themselves and clear things up for the people who are affected with their behavior.
Jojo was clearly like that, and also their relationship started wrong from the very beginning so it was not that surprising that happened. She was not ready to begin with, her relationship before she met Sun-oh was also a failure.
I don't understand the double standard Kdrama viewers have. You all complain about a drama not following the webtoon or the nice guy ending up not being chosen, but here came Love Alarm season 2 breaking the common Kdrama logic and still you all hate it. *tsk tsk*
Love Alarm was my very first Kdrama, and it's what kickstarted my love for the genre. I waited for the second…
I think the reason why it's divided into two seasons is to differentiate Sun-oh and Hyeyoung. It means, no one is actually a second lead here. Both Sun-oh and Hyeyoung are the first male leads. But I hope these two seasons were just made in a whole season. S2 felt like a completely different drama. (I don't have complains with the ending tho)
i gave it low rating not bc of the second lead but her character was off.. like she kissed a boy while she had…
Ppl failed to see that because Sunoh was played by Song Kang. The first time I watched S1, I saw the difference between Sun-oh and Hyeyoung and Hyeyoung is wayyyyyyyyy nicer and like a walking green forest.
COME ON, GUYS!! Don't just believe the hate train this drama has, just watch it first before judging it. What if you belong to the minority who actually got the point of this series?
Just some tips: (1) Don't just focus on just one particular character, but to all. (2) Remember that Jojo had her own issues (childhood, home, betrayal, bullying, etc.) (3) Try to understand what the creator of the love alarm app wanted to imply regarding the shield feature. (4) Compare the two male leads based on both seasons. Who is the green flag and who is the red one? (5) Just be objective in watching it.
Actually, I was also disappointed with this season. But I am not that shallow to say that it's because of the end game, but it's because of the timeline and messed up execution of it. But overall,l it is not actually as bad as what most ppl think. The series is even meaningful.
7/10 for me.
I feel like it is my life's duty to defend this drama. Ppl just simply hate this just because of Song Kang, which is very sad.
For Sun-oh shippers: Watch this series again after 10 years, when you are all grown people.
man this season is shit. sun oh loved her and she did too, there was no reason for her to push him away. She should've…
She HAD a reason. Ppl always forget that Jojo herself was problematic and had traumatic experiences. Take note that she's bullied at school and home. You cannot force a person with that kind of life to be suddenly open, it just showed how shallow her feelings for Sun-oh were even to talk about her troubles. And remember that Sun-oh's mom even despised her. You're such a kid.
Literally a disaster drama , it's score should be 2or 3 . why it's score is 6 , it's so high for this worst dramasorry…
The drama is not even that bad, just the execution of it and the messed up timeline. The proof of that it is not bad because its webtoon is popular and loved. You just focused on the love triangle and Song Kang alone.
The production did the webtoon dirty. T^T
